:kcool: excellent remix of a phenomenal music group. i was very impressed with the cd. i only bought it because of the valley song, but thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the album.

sorry. i am a pretty big JOC fan, but none of the remixes are as good as the original recordings. the jazz thing has to go, as JOC certainly is not a jazz band. i like JOC alot, but i think that if this was their first or only cd, noone would have bought it.

very enjoyable cd...
a few new songs that alone are worth the money, and all the remix's and the live music is great too...definately worth buying for any JoC fan.
this cd reminds me why this group is so cool.

Once again, Jars has given us another masterpiece. THis is a must have for any Jars of Clay fan.

OK...1. they know how to re-mixes
and 2. they know how to have a concert.
I think its about time that the "General Public" have the oppurtunity to hear the live version of "Worlds Apart" on disc(yeah..yeah..stringtown...but not everybody has that)
So yeah....this is a great CD...go buy it.

:D

(and yeah...lots of pretty Taylors on this album...haha..had to put that in there...)

i agree on all points. worlds apart is the best 10 minutes of music i have heard in a long time.
and how bout the live version of Flood? pretty good too, i think, a taylor cranking it out with the contour turned up...ahhhhh
the only songs i was slightly disapointed with were the remixes of Liquid and overjoyed. they were good, but definately the 2 weak songs on the album in my opinion. the emotion that all the strings had in the original recordings wasn't matched in the remixes.

I'm like Playin...I bought it for the newer songs expecially the Valley Song and I sacrificed RK's new CD for it...which I'm getting today but anyway I was blown away when I heard this CD It's just so amazing and the way the music flows it just...man It's great! Pick it Up and Enjoi!

I liked it though it isn't one of my favorites

Awesome! I was jazzed when I found out there was a new CD from Jars (even if there's really only 3 new songs). The Valley song is great. Like someone else said, the live version of Worlds Apart is fantastic. I recently saw them in concert again and enjoyed every minute. I just saw on the new releases that they have something new scheduled for November and I'm stoked!!!!!

This could quickly become a favorite for me. What's great about this cd is that the songs are not simply re-mixed, but entirely re-recorded. I haven't listened closely enough to tell yet, but it sounded to me like some of the 11th hour songs might have been old vocal tracks with new instrument tracks.

One highlight for me included a faithfully rendered cover of Adam Again's "Dig". I also enjoyed the new recording of Frail. With the original demo version started appearing on every special release (Crazy Times single, White Elephant Session), I'm glad Jars' decided to stop dwelling on the past and stretch the song a little further on this release.

I haven't reviewed the live disc as extensively, so maybe I'll reserve comment on that until later. Though I will say I did enjoy hearing "This Road".

a magnificent cd (s) from jars.
the studio cd has an awesome jazzy feel to it and the live cd totally rocks. worlds apart is the most incredible song. its a must for ANYONE.

It's a good CD and a nice addition to my Jars of Clay collection.

This is a good quality CD. (I bought it at Family Christian for 10$ good deal)
The Valley Song is my favorite song, hands down. the only reason I didn't give this Compact Disc a 10 is because I didn't like Overjoyed. Too... mellow. Anyhoodle, I gave it a 9.

The acoustic re-recordings are major highlights of this project, though I wasn't too thrilled with the new songs except for "The Valley Song" of course. The live disc is good, although the only track I was really impressed with was the ten minute rendition of "Worlds Apart". But in conclusion, "Furthermore" is a must have for any Jars fan.

Man Oh man, what a great combination! The Acoustic Jazzy sounds of the Studio and the Viby Live sounds from Stage compliment each other amazingly. I my opinion the Best Jars CD I own! Give it a listen in the Shop only if you have money on your pocket, you have been warned! 10/10

this was the first jars of clay cd i listened to, and wow...the live cd just moved me... its just one of those cd's that you can pick up on any great song and it will be stuck in your head for days upon days, and yes, whoever said worlds apart was a good song is right, it is.

i boght it today? im luvin it. the new versions of some songs e.g. liquid, frail are cool but i like the original versions better.

Hands Down, Worlds Apart makes this cd.

7. This CD is amazing. I like the Live part better, though. Worlds Apart has to be some of the best 10 minutes of music ever. The studio disk had some good songs on it too, but they just murdered Liquid.

The live selections are incredible...the remixes don't excite me too much though...but I agree...a must have for a Jars fan.

I thought it was pretty good, I was never big on Jars of Clay, but this was a great cd and it showed some of their better stuff.

Okay... jars of clay has taken the Christian pop/rock to a whole new level. They put Christian rock on the charts back in the 90's, and they just continue to make absolutely beautiful music. Even when I wasn't Christian, I thought these guys were fantastic. They know how to write and arrange music, and their lyrics can not even be explained by words. Just when you thought they couldn't get any better, they come out with Furthermore. A lot of my Christian friends do not like this CD because it is not "jars of clay." Okay, we are talking about a band that has added a little bit of spice to their music in EVERY one of their albums. Much Afraid did not do well on the charts because they decided to test out some new stuff. And the sad thing is, Much Afraid is a great CD... personally one of my favorites. But with Furthermore, you get to hear such a wide spectrum of the band. The way they jazz up some old songs... the way they take rocking songs and turn them acoustic. Some people don't agree with me, but some of these remakes I think are better than the originals. In exception with Frail, which is one of their most powerfully written songs to date. The music and lyrics will leave you speechless. Then you get to the live CD of Furthermore. This just gives you a PERFECT idea of what jars of clay is like live. They are fun, witty, powerful, and right-on with the music and vocals. Great live versions of many great songs. The topper is the live closer, Worlds Apart. This 5 minute song from their self-debut CD goes on for 10.5 minutes live. The crowd joins in on Alleluias at the end, and the echos will bring chills throughout your entire body. I guess what I am trying to say here is buy this CD. If you don't have any jars of clay CDs and are looking for something to start off with, this is the one. I have 5 different friends that bought this one first, and ended up buying ALL of their albums. jars of clay will do that, though. hehe. Much love and God bless!!

Love in Christ,
Jason (Disco)
