This was a very interesting listen. I've only gone through it twice, and it's really cool to see how this band progressed and became the "Almighty Norma Jean". But I would actually say this cd has more ties to The Chariot's sound. It's also my least favorite performance by Josh Scogin. There's nothing inherently wrong with the vocals, but he just stays in the higher pitch 90 percent of the time. I prefer his sort of medium to low range he sticks with now. And you can't understand him at all. Worse than on BTMAKTC. Also the vox just aren't mixed loud enough. But this was probably a low budget recording.I definitely recommend this if you like Norma Jean's older stuff, and even if you don't I'd say it's a pretty different animal than Bless the Martyr.
Also, their pattern of attempting to drive you insane by doing the same thing measure after measure and then doing something awesome was already alive and well on this cd. You have been warned.
8 or 9.

I've never really been too into this cd. I found it really medicore at best. There are some pretty cool moments on it, but mainly, its nothing more than a stepping stone into BTMKTC. It's like a 7.
