9.8The songs are really long...

9Yeah the songs are really long, especially being a hardcore album. But I think they generally pull it off.
This album is so catchy, emotional, and solid. The songs are long, but they don't waste their time with 2 minute intros or anything, they get to the point without boring you.
There are plenty of gang vocals and opportunities to chant along.
I don't really know what else to say, incredible album. Already one of my favorites, this band could be the new face of Facedown Records.
I highly recommend this to fans of Dogwood, Comeback Kid, Bane and other hardcore bands with that sound.
I'm so happy with this release.

I settled with a 9 after a little more thought. I'm thinking that they drew out "A Struggle To Stay Standing" too longPosted on 07-05-2008 by earlessdog

Lights In This Town is one of my favs, but that very beginning melody with the vocals, I swear I've heard that exact tune before. Either way, it's an incredible song.
Unlike a lot of hardcore albums, I don't find this repetative at all.

On "A New Day" and Together, Burning Bright", the backup vocalist sounds so much like some older Set Your Goals. Jordan Brown I think is the vocalist I'm thinking of....some on "These Days' too

I love the background vocals a lot, and when the background vocalist screams he sounds a lot like the screamer for Means (older stuff).
I have a feeling these guys could put on a really good show, I hope they do some serious touring with this album.
I'm not a drummer, so I don't know what is really good and what is not, but the drumming seems to be really good. Ventures out of a the typical fast beat snare, I mean they have a lot of that, but he seems to throw a lot of variety in as well.

Why did I say that? If anything, these guys actually have rather long intros compared to a lot of hardcore bands, but they still do it without boring you too much.
