Ok, i've got to say that this is pretty much the best cd i've ever bought. it's definately their best cd. the cd een has an accual good christian message as opposed to TAOB which was kinda lacking in that catergory. this cd jut all around rocks

This is my second favorite CD of all time, next to Phenomenon, it's even better than Anberlin's Never Take Friendship Personal. Safest Place is my fave song, it's the heaviest song on the cd. the unity of this is the best of any of their previous albums, the messages and tones of the songs adds on to the one before and after, keeping one underlying theme the entire cd: God is the source of all we have and need.

7/10. I honestly was a little disappointed with this album. Very few songs I consider great. Pretty much all the softer songs are forgettable. There are a handful of songs that are really good, but the rest aren't too great.

Great songs:

Favorite Disease

Inhuman

Broken Wing

The Safest Place

Pretty much all the other songs are average IMO.

10 - Amazing CD. Everyone should own it.
9 - Among the best of the year.
8 - One of the top CDs around, but could have been improved in a few places.
7 - Not a bad CD, but could have been better in a number of places.
6 - Pretty good for it's genre, but overall it's only acceptable.
5 - Decent CD, but only if you're a big fan of this genre.
4 - If you love this band, you'll like this CD. Otherwise, probably not.
3 - If you're a fan of this genre, the CD is barely acceptable.
2 - If you're a big fan of this band, this CD is tolerable.
1 - Even if you like this band, you won't like this CD.

i think that this is TFK's best CD, next to Phenomenon i was disappointed with TAOB. New Drug is a great song, along with Safest Place, My Home and the title song.

Ditto rock 'n Christ. I think this is their best CD. I like the songs... New Drug, My Home, Falls Apart, and What Do We Know? the best :) Great CD

I only heard Absolute from TAOB and that is the only TFK song I like. I've heard their other 2 cds, and I can't stand them.
Do you recomend i give this album a listen when I hate their first 2 albums, but like the only song i heard from TAOB?

It depends. I'd say go for it, what can you lose? I don't think it's a lot like the other albums they have. But I could be wrong.

Absolute was a pretty good song, but New Drug blows it away. go to their purevolume. i also like "Wish You Well", the lyrics are very good. i dont really like "WDWK" or "Falls Apart", i listen to bands like Demon Hunter, so that may be why :-/.

Posted on 10-16-2007 by LC7rock
I liked the title song, but all the others seemed a little disconnected.

Posted on 10-16-2007 by Naragrath
Well, I thought New Drug was somewhat dull, but I love the title track, along with Falls Apart. What Do We Know is annoying at first, grows on you, and then after a few more listens, you start to hate it again.

My copy arrived yesterday and I LOVE IT!!!
There are more softer songs on this album than there have been on previous albums and they have also gone a bit heavier than before in songs like "InHuman" and "Safest Place".
I have the special edition and there is more I would have liked to see on the DVD such as the music video of "Falls Apart" or the making of it but they're new to making DVD's anyway. ;)
By the way the song list is incorrect.

id say this is probably tfk's best work. they took so many new approaches on the album and they all turned out so well. couldnt say what my favorite song would be because it changes pretty much every day. right now im liking inhuman and new drug.

Agreed.:yep:
My Fav at the moment are "Broken Wing" ,"The Flame in All of Us" ,"InHuman" ,"My Worst Enemy" ,"Safest Place" and "Learn to Breath".
You can tell by the many songs on my favourite list that this is an awesome album.:)

I dunno, I wasn't too pleased with this album. TFK has always been good at the harder stuff, and there just wasn't very much of it here. The first three songs, and InHuman, are good, and "What Do We Know" is a pretty good softer song. But the rest...I dunno. I didn't rate this album very high, WTTM is WAYYYYYY better!

Posted on 10-21-2007 by SporkV
I'm Liking: The Safest Place, Broken Wing, The Flame In All Of Us, and New Drug.
For Sure their best CD yet, I think they have found their niche.:clap::clap:

Anyone want too guess what sorta style there next album will sound like?
AoB just had a plain rock sorta feel to it and The Flame In All of Us has a kind of pop feel to it in some songs.

Posted on 10-23-2007 by schecter777
as long as it's rock and it sounds good, then im ok.

If it's gonna be as good or even better(wich it should be) than "Flame" it's gotta be awesome!
But anyway another album from them will be a long way off from now.;)

the bass on this album was the best ive ever heard it by tfk:clap:

I have to say I liked AOB and Phenomenon much better. As someone else said, most of the songs feel disconnected. Also, I really don't like the really high background vocals in all of the songs (eg. Broken Wing). I like The Flame in All of Us, Falls Apart, What Do We Know, My Home, and Learn to Breathe. That's pretty much it.

:whoa:
This album is WAAAAAAAAAAAY better!!!
"InHuman" did sound pretty disconnected going into the pre-chorus though.:-/

Not exactly sure what I thought of this album. I do know I liked it better than the last, which was a disappointment for me.

 You are dissapointed that you like it better than the last album?

EDIT: Oh, I get it!

Did "The Last Song" scare anyone else as much as it did me...?
Did "The Last Song" scare anyone else as much as it did me...?
You mean the fact that it pointed to the very likely possibility that this was their final album? It didn't scare me, but I find that theory believable.

Posted on 11-09-2007 by zero91
This is a pretty good album. I think it's probably thier best CD yet. I think some of the songs get kind of boring but over all I enjoy listening to it. I give it an 8.

No way they have been talking about the next album already.

Good, I never believed that rumor, but at least that makes it much more likely that it's not happening anywhere in the near future. That would totally suck if TFK broke up.

I'll be expecting another album from them in 2009 actually.
"The Last Song" was just a sarcastic kinda way of finishing the album really.
It doesn't mean anything.

Posted on 11-12-2007 by SporkV
I know, I know, but still, there was always that little thought in the back of my head that wouldn't go away that they might be breaking up.

indeed it did. i hope they don't break up.

This CD isn't TFK's best, but it is the album that got me into them, so I still enjoy it a lot when I listen to it. The "live" sound of having all of the instruments recorded at the same time makes it a bit more musically diverse from their older stuff. It sounds very industrial and raw in places. The main problem is that, after What Do We Know, the energy of the album seems to drop off and never quite recovers. The three tracks before that, the title track, New Drug and Falls Apart, are all exemplary, but after that, the best song on the CD is probably Inhuman. Wish You Well has a lot of potential, but has always fallen flat to me. And Broken Wing, Safest Place, and Learn To Breathe are all, unfortunately, not very memorable. The album is solid, not great, a good listen, but hardly TFK's best.
