I definitely prefer 80's Stryper to this. Still not a bad effort. I do like the new version of "I.G.W.T". I recently heard a rumor they were going back to their roots. That would be sweet. :)

I've heard part of the album...it's not the old school stryper....it sounds more like michael sweet's song stuff.....reborn is kinda cool and so is open your eyes....I'll have to check out the others....

Needed solos, but I really liked it. I am looking forward to the new album even more though.

I thought it was the worst Styper album ever made. As mentioned above, it needed Oz and Michael to wail and they just simpley didn't.

I thought grunge and alternative had finally died out. :( In Stryper's case, I guess not. :whine:

I normally listen to something once and if I don't like it, it's gone. I listened to this recording 3 times in a row and it was almost like a weight lifted off me when the last song was finally over on the 3rd time around. :duh:

Until the last couple of times they came to the DFW area, I had seen Styper every time they came to Fort Worth or Dallas. If this is the way they're going to go, I might not bother anymore. I was really bummed when I realized I missed them the last time they came to Fort Worth, but that was before I heard this recording.

I know it's 80's, old and passed away, but I miss 80's metal and wish it would make a comeback someway, somehow.

Grunge?

With the exception of the lack of solos...the album is not that different than most Stryper albums. There are melodies and hooks and Michael's voice. It's actually heavier than some of their older stuff in places. I think it's a decent album and I look forward to where they go next.

That was what I thought about.......oh........20 seconds into it the first time I listened to it. I was't overly fond of "Against The Law" but it was myriads better to me.

Just MHO.

BTW, what's in your sig? Is it something people can listen to music with?
