Not as good as No sir. There's no screaming. That's fine with me, but Showbread was really good at it. It's just not the same. They said it was because they didn't sell enough albums last time. So, if you ask me, I say go buy their new album so that they can scream again. It's an ok cd overall, but like I said, not as good as No sir at all. 8
That's actually not at all why they went through a change with this album..

All the albums released before No Sir, were of the screamo/post-hardcore genre. So that adds up to 3 or 4 full albums of screamo stuff.. personally, I'd get sick of playing the same thing all the time.

Right. They said that it was time for a change, that music is a limited medium so you "might as well do something weird with it". (It's in their Journal on their website.)

Yeah, I thought I'd read it on their site somewhere. I knew Age of Reptiles would be different. I'm definetly looking forward to the next release and see what they do.

I know that they're recruiting an orchestral type band.

Really? That sounds awesome. Now I'm all excited, and I highly doubt a new album will come anytime soon.

Wow. I didn't realize they'd been around so long. I can't really blame them, then. It will be interesting to see what they do next, but I do hope it's a little harder.

this is a great cd, no one else can play keytar like that! Pachecephalosaurus is my favorite, the bass is insane, with Oh! Emetophobia!, The Jesus Lizard, and Centepede Sisters right behind it. there is not a song i don't like, though some of the lyrics are pretty strange if you don't listen to the whole song. i do wish there was some more screamo, though...

I'd say this is the perfect album. I like every single song, but the last one is the best. Naked Lunch is good, too. I really like the guitar work on this one. Solos that are relatively simple, but fit the songs amazingly well. I can't wait for the next one.

I love the last song too.

I like this CD a lot. Good songwriting, some really cool solos and the keytar is great. It's just fun to listen to.

quite possibly my new favorite cd... Pachycephalosaurus is absolutely amazing, as is Oh! Emetophobia! and Sing Me to Sleep, the rest are really good, but those are the highlights... also the secret track is called Age of Insects...

Also it's worth noting that there's no screaming on this CD... but it's still rockin nonetheless

It's like the same ol' Showbread but they've kill the screams, brought in some cool guitar solos, and yes there is another Army of Darkness/Evil Dead song (George Romero will Be at our Wedding)...

THe first printing has some errors on the back cover.. It says that Centipede Sisters is #7 and Jesus Lizard is #8, but the listing above is correct..

This is such an amazing album! While there is only really screaming on the last track, Age of Reptiles, I still love this album. I love the keytar infulences and the overall raw feel to the album. Oh! Emetophobia! and The Jesus Lizard are my favourites.

I was listening to my friend's mp3 player and we listen mostly to the same stuff and he showed me them. I'd heard of them before, but never really looked into them. But when I checked them out with this CD, wow! Amazing album, these guys are so good at writing lyrics.
