I got this CD on the third. I am mad at myself for waiting so long. Simply excellent.

I've had this album for year...and still probably one of the best albums I've heard....just inspiring....

I got the album a while ago and all I can say is it is one of the best cd's I have ever purchased, amazing. It gets an easy 10.

My girlfriend got me this CD for my birthday in March. In my opinion it is the best CD ever, and not just because she gave it to me. :D

I love this album.

I can see why some wouldn't like his voice, at times it annoys me (it really isn't the best, just go listen to him sing live), but it does fit the music well, which is just more evidence of how talented they are. To be able to write music that goes well with his voice.

i have yet to meet someone who doesn't like this album, i have to buy it.

i heard This Time Is The Last Time, and that song sucks really terribly, so i hope this album isn't like that song.

My hardcore/screamo fan cousin even likes it. Amazing album, I don't think you will be disappointed
10/10

This album is awesome. I think that "mistakes we knew we were making" and "cover me" just add to it's length, but overall this album is a great break from alot of the other mediocre albums out there. THis band is not emo, their music isn't what is considered emo at all, (I've never heard of an emo melodic rock band) and their lyrics have some thought put into them. Also, ever seen a picture of the band? You can't honestly tell me they are emo with their hair styles or clothing choice. Back to the album, I must say that besides purely the music, I love the way this album interconnects to itself and transitions, amazing.

I've thoroughly enjoyed it as well.
Question, I've been told that the album tells a story and I'm inclined to believe it, but I'm not sure what story their telling. My friend said it's about a couple who had an abortion.

Any ideas? Does The Everglow tell a story, if so what is the story?

Posted on 07-11-2009 by thesteve
I think the album is mostly just about the evolution of a relationship more than about a specific event. There is some semblance of explanation on wikipedia

Posted on 07-11-2009 by AlphaSigma
So it's a happy ending rather than a sad one? I've always listened to the entire album and speculated as to what's happening at this point in the story based on the song.

This CD is the single greatest CD that I have ever listened to. Ever. Very simply, this is as good as it gets. This is a work of art.

Buy it right now.

I'm prone to agree. I love this CD, to the point that I would say that it has shaped my idea of what music ought to sound like. Beautiful, beautiful music.

Seriously...buy it.

This is the best CD I have ever owned. Best I have ever listened to, really. I like what andrew said about it being a work of art, and not only for the potential puns. Everything about this CD is artistic, including the cover art, the lyrics, the background music.

What a freaking fantastic band.

I saw Mae in concert and they played several songs from this CD. I love the stuff I've heard.

A very artistic and thought through album. It is best listened to together because the whole album adds to itself and the songs complement each other. Every song is well done and enjoyable.

Incredible album. Quite unlike any other one I've heard.

Now I don't mean to be Cliche' but I have to say, "Go and buy this".

Yeah, it's pretty cool what I've heard. I've listened to Mae on www.purevolume.com and you can listen to 10 songs or so. "Suspension" is awesome song, and I can just listen to that over and over. Many of the other songs I've heard are also great.

If I had not already given it a ten, I would give it a ten now. This is simply the best album I have ever heard.

The most wonderful, two-edged album ever. I am almost in tears right now because of it. And it doesn't normally do this to me.

Definitely.

I have noticed a trend about this album.

People either love it, or they don't know about it yet. I have never met anyone who dislikes Mae.

Yeah I don't think I haven't heard of anyone that doesn't like Mae either. And I also should get this cd soon.

How? He has a great voice. It fits the music perfectly.

Posted on 11-01-2005 by Benny Hicks
I agree, I don't know, she's anal about voices. I, on the other hand, love the band and think this is the best album in my collection.

Makes sense. My former guitar teacher doesn't like Chris Carraba's voice and my cousin hates Tom Delonge's(Blink-182's) voice. Oh well, I still think this guy has the perfect voice for the kind of music he and his band play.

I got the album this evening. It is THE most creative concept for an album ever that I have heard. Beautiful stuff. An easy 10 rating from me.

I got this CD this evening. All I can say is that it is THE most creative concept for an album ever made. The songs are amazing.

It's my favorite cd :yep:

Oh yeah HolyRockJfreak,I don't think Mae is emo,I think they're more alternative or indie(just for reference)

Whatever genre they are, this is a near-perfect CD.

I don't know about that. Tool's Lateralus and Pink Floyd's The Wall, among others, seem to be a little more original and creative. I think that Mae has an interesting philosophy, but it doesn't stand out as much in their music.

True, this is coming from the guy who said this is his favorite album in his collection, but I don't think I'd go so far as to say that it's the most creative concept for an album.

I got this cd today and all I have to say is:

Wow.

The Everglow, along with Mae's other CDs, is great. They're even better live.
