Right away, I know what you're
thinking - what is PowerTab? Simply put, it's software
that will help you write tabs for songs, but
it really helps when you're trying to learn
a tab for a song. Not only will it give you the tabs
and/or chords, but it will give you the "real"
sheet music for the song (as determined by the tablature),
as well as a MIDI playback of the tab so you know
how the tab should sound when you're playing it.
The reason this page exists
is because PowerTab is becoming quite popular on the
internet. There are many sites that have guitar tabs
in PowerTab format. However, there are virtually no
Christian PowerTab songs out there. I'd like to start
building up a collection of them, and I need your
help to do it. It's simple - here's how.
First, go to powertab.guitarnetwork.org
and download the software. Don't worry, it's free.
Next, check out an existing PowerTab file. Here's
Chris Rice's Deep Enough To Dream. Play
with it. Learn how to make them. Then, take a tab
from our archive (or figure out a new one) and convert
it to PowerTab format. Once it's done, simply e-mail
me the file, and I'll add it to our collection.
I'll admit - I'm not a PowerTab expert.
