Scales
(They aren't just for fish)

Now what is a scale? You may ask. A scale is a bunch of notes that go together to create a lead guitar part. The best part of this is that they can be in any key you desire. The ones you are about to see are in A, to do them in B simply move all of the notes two frets down for C move them 4 frets down, for D- you get the point, these work great backed by rhythm guitar parts in the same key. To practice these go from the first note all the way through it to the last one and then back up. When you get them down they sound awesome. I suggest you start with the major pentatonic scale in E, (that would mean the first note is the open E string.) Okay, I hope these scales will be helpful in your guitar playing... here they are:
