Hello, today I'm going to talk about some really neat chords that you'll mainly hear in acoustic music. Capo-less, these will be in the key of E (022100), and the cool thing about these is how they use open strings on what would generally be barred.
First of all, there's A9 (x02200), which you're more than likely familiar with by now... if you aren't, strum it a few times and get a feel for it. It's not hard.
Next, there's B9 (x24400), strum that a little, (pretty, huh?) Please take note that the G and B strings give you the same note, which give you a fuller, richer sound. Switch between A9 and B9 a couple of times... they were made for each other!
Thirdly, we have C#9 (x46600), which uses the open B and E strings, also, for it's beautiful sound. Play it with A9 and B9... purty huh?
Those chords, along with E is something that is nothing short of incredible. Try it for yourself, with something like
