That's interesting; I'm less surprised by the older gentleman and more surprised by the diocese allowing an associate to take over. That's usually very frowned upon. There's been a sharp refocus on mission in TEC in the past year or so, but on the local level that kind of resistance can be debilitating to clergy. Then again... The rector just died, so there's probably a whole lot of grief, trepidation about change, etc., getting bound up in that argument.

Things are going well. I've been enjoying Hebrew, overall, and Westminster especially. Hebrew 3 has taken a little bit of a hit gradewise with everything else going on, but I'm keeping a float I think. Got any leads on ministry opportunities? Turn any offers down?

Hey, I noticed you mentioned you have Bibleworks. I am seriously considering getting it, mostly because I have seen the usefulness of it in the classroom. I do have a question for you: have you used Logos before, or know anything about it? I know it is much more expensive than Bibleworks, but I don't know if it is really worth it. I know it comes with a lot of add-ons, commentaries, and that you can by additional commentaries for it, but it is just ungodly expensive.

Ah. I had a troll who duplicated my username recently, and it created some PM issues. Please email your response to me at mtlmom at gmail while I work on the PM issue. Thanks.

How are you doing? Have they figured out what your trigger is for your health issues?

I was a pediatric nurse for 14 years. One trend that I noticed was that most of the time when kids were diagnosed with intuss, they usually had a history of some sort of abdominal surgery. I've never really seen much research that proves a direct correlation, but my personal experience is enough to convince me. My best guess is the scar tissue is an irritant that creates an inflammatory response which results in the intuss. I have absolutely no proof, of course - just a hunch.

Nurse Nosey just has to ask...
Have you ever had abdominal surgery? Hernia repair? Appendectomy? Gall bladder? Pyloric stenosis repair as an infant?
