| Yes, if you check out the special features you see that her last name is Mode. It wasn't a voice command she put into the door, it was a voice recognition security feature. Similar to the passcode number, handprint, and retina scan.

I watched the special features... and there is nowhere describing or telling of her last name! so I am either totaly stupid... or you are wrong...

But I don't want to call you stupid either. You just don't know all the facts.
However, if you put in disc 2, go to index, go to publicity, and watch the character interviews, you will see that Edna's last name is MODE!
PLus it would make less sense if she was saying mode as in setting. Just substitute it. "Edna setting, and guest."

| You guys are crazy! The Incredibles had a terrible plot, and the characters were so lousily put together, and sure the whole superpower thing was kinda cool, but I just couldn't get over some of the morals. I can't stand it when someone (i.e. Mr. Incredible) goes off and does something completely immoral (leaves his wife to do what he wants without telling, or including her) and then it all turns out for the better? It just doesn't work. Not without some serious hardship in the middle, which it was just all fun and games. And soooo much yelling! That mom and dad had zeeero control over their kids, they should be ashamed. It was just yell yell yell! The parents didn't really look in love because all they ever did was shout at each other!!!
Thank you for listening to me rant about that. I guess I was expecting a really great movie, and then all I saw was that. I was really dissapointed.
1. Finding Nemo... come on guys! This is one of the best movies of all time. None of the others came close.
2. Toy Story. A distant second. It was just ok all around.
3. Monsters Inc. A good idea.
4. Toy Story 2. Good, but I have a grudge against sequels. I can't help it.
5. The Incredibles. See above.
6. A Bug's Life. A bit lame all around. I didn't really like the plot. If I was going to spend my time watching a movie, it wouldn't be this one.
Finding Nemo should so win this poll.

Finding Nemo should so win this poll. | I think that you are a bit too young to understand why the storyline in The Incredibles was so good. Maybe you don't understand the mid life crisis. Those things you mentioned... they are WHY the story was good. Everything does not have to be happiness and roses ALL the time in movies. Even cartoons. The troubles do not have to be limited to winning the girl or saving the day.
The thing that was great about this storyline is that these were every day problems that every day people have. |

Some immorality is great, so long as they (or somebody!) suffers for it. Quote: |

I've laughed harder at some of my friend's impressions of Napoleon Dynamite. And I don't even like Napoleon Dynamite. If these were every day problems that people had and there was a message about them, then the movie would be far higher in my opinion thn it is now.
But... maybe you're right. I just don't get it.

I would bet that nearly every family could see at least one problem in The Incredibles that they could relate to. As far as the immoral conduct goes, it was fairly tame. You had your basic sibling rivalry and you had two spouses with difficulty communicating, two very REAL issues that most families experience in some way or another. The movie does give a message, your family is the most important thing you have. If you noticed, thery weren't able to win until they learned to work together and it took all of them to do it, even Jack Jack. Wouldn't you agree? |

| Immoral conduct? This movie was extremely tame morally. The husband lying to his wife? Yeah. And he nearly paid for it with losing his family/life. Those things you mentioned were shown in a negative light. |
