Van Halen III

Noone will probably answer this thread but here it goes...

Around 6 years ago, Gary Cherone (formerly with Extreme) was lead singer of Van Halen. I remember a web site was around back then started by some Christians who knew that he is a lapsed Catholic. Their web site had lyrics from Extreme and Van Halen III and scripture where it appeared Gary had been influenced by the Bible.

For example, "Fire In the Hole" probably refers to Proverbs 13:3 and other proverbs.

Does anyone remember what songs matched which scripture or have a copy of that web site downloaded?

Fire In The Hole also references the book of James as well. I also think it's interesting that they thanked R.C. Sproul in the liner notes to that album.

I know that Gary Cherone was a vocal spokeman for the pro-life movement and wrote an open letter to Eddie Vedder debating some of his views.

I don't remember the site you're talking about though.

The song is not good as everybody claims. It's surely not a terrific Van Halen record. In many ways, Van halen 3 has a lot of resemblances to Pink Floyd's final cut. I personally think all Van Halen is pretty boring. Great review for a first, and an unexpected score.

unfortunately I know nothing of said VH album. my apologies and I'll shut up now.

*edit* I also applaud you for thinking outside the CCM box when it comes to Scriptures and Music. there are a lot of songs out there not found within the mainstream CCM circles that deal with deep Biblical topics.
