I just got a hold of a sampler CD, and the only good tracks on it seem to be by a band called Torn. Sort of a mix between Ozzy Ozborne and Metallica with Christian lyrics. Anyone actually have their CD or seen them in concert? Are they any good, or are these the only good tracks they have ever recorded?

I'm not familiar with them at all, but we do have one of their songs in our archive - Cell. Here's a link to it:

Anyone else know anything about this group?

Oh, man, guys. I fianlly broke down and went to Hastings and bought Torn's CD. FIVE STARS! It is so good! It's GREAT! If you have unsaved friends who really like Metallica (or saved friends who like Metallica... or if YOU like Metallica), this CD is a must-have. The name of the Album is Tree by Torn. I have a new favorite CD.

christianmp3s.com has 2 mp3s. I listenned to the song "drowning" and it's not really my kind of music. The lead singer's voice sounds like the secular band that plays the Mission Impossible 2 soundtrack.

Their lead singer's name is Carter, but the rest of the band is broken up. He writes really emotional, poetic lyrics. Their website is torn.net, or you can check out:

Skilletfan, I think you're referring to Godsmack; Carter's voice is more emotional and passionate than Metallica or Godsmack.
