Not that you asked me, but I think Mockingbird is great. It's cynical and will probably annoy most of his "target audience" with the viewpoints it presents. I also love the song, "I Hate Everything But You." I also think the feel of the album is interesting... very laid-back.

It's definitely something different.

I've actually only heard the songs on his myspace. I'm a bit too lazy and poor to order any of his records online. I listen to those myspace songs all the time though, so I think I should buy an album soon.

The Mouse & The Mask - DangerDoom (Danger Mouse & MF Doom) - One of the best hip-hop albums in a long time. It's underground and ol' school, inspired by Adult Swim.
Acid Wash - The Halo Friendlies
Essence - Lucinda Williams
No P. or D. - Ms. John Soda
The Shirelles
Patience & Prudence

....btw, if anyone knows of any good oldie, 60's or 50's artists, let me know. I need samples. Peace.

I like it a lot as well.

I've been listening to The Februarys, Kevan Gilbert, and The Arcade Fire.

Check out The Monks and Eddie Cochran. Those two are somewhat obscure. I don't have any specific songs to reccomend but they are good artists.

Can anyone reccomend a good site where I can buy a whole bunch of christian cds at once and have them shipped to Australia for cheap?

You can get some older Tooth and Nail albums (from bands like Luxury) on the T&N mail order site for pretty cheap.

Sorry, I forgot that nothing mainstream can be good.

Xiu Xiu - Fabulous Muscles
Saetia - A Retrospective

I listened to the former 5 times today and the latter twice in a row (it has 18 tracks). I'm listening to Diary by Sunny Day Real Estate now but I'm about to go to bed.

The 13th Floor Elevators
The Red Krayola
The Greek Fountains
The Zombies
Shadows Four
MC5

That's all very psychedelic. I don't know if that's what you are looking for, but it seemed that way.
