Depends how old you get. I'd advise picking up "Clouds Taste Metallic" and working back from there.

I've learnt the early Flaming Lips usually really disappoint their newer fans, which is a shame. Hit to Death in The Future Head is my favorite Lips record, although it certainly isn't as pretty as the Soft Bulletin.

I've been listening to the Beach Boys and Snoop Dogg a lot recently.

Lately I've been listening to Steve Burns. If you like The Flaming Lips, you should like Steve Burns.

That one is my second favourite, first being a tie of Clouds Taste Metallic and Yoshimi. I always advise people to get Hit To Death first. Has anyone got the new DVD? Because it's very awesome.

Soft Bulletin is very overrated, though it has some amazing songs on it.

I just got NIN's The Fragile today and have listened through it twice.
What a great CD.

Also, Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals has found its way into my stereo alot recently.

"The Frail", "We're In This Together" and "La Mer" are the fuzz.
