Jackie Greene - American Myth

Have you ever bought a very good album and an absolutely amazing album at the same time, and neglected the former because you were so entranced by the latter? That's what happened with this. I bought it at the same time as Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?, and had barely listened to it before now. Now I've discovered that I really like this album.

Carcass - Heartwork
Meshuggah - I

I think I'm enjoying more straight up metal again. Ballsy stuff.

So I've been listening to the Crane Wife. "The Crane Wife Part 3" is amazing, and the rest seems promising. I've changed my opinion about them.

I also like the song "Here I Dreamt I Was an Architect." Is the rest of the album similar to that?

No, no, Picaresque is undoubtedly the superior album.

Yep, I'm going to disagree. I prefer The Crane Wife. I just can't get into Picaresque as much. It has some great songs, but I like The Crane Wife better as a whole.
