Oh yeah. I downloaded a couple of their songs. I need to listen to them.

The National- Boxer

This really might be a perfect record. I took a long drive today and listened to the whole thing and it's just beautiful beyond words.

I actually just heard about them yesterday, so I decided to check out their website. I liked the one song (Marathon, I think was the song) I listened to until the vocals came in. I didn't like that... But overall I still kind of wanted to check out more just to see if they had anything that I could stand with the vocals.

What sort of vocals do you mean? That song has spoken voice, falsetto male singing, screaming, growling, all of that stuff. I'm guessing you mean the really intense growling around 3 minutes into it though, which only appears occasionally on Choirs of the Eye and hardly ever on the newer album. The falsetto Jeff Buckley esque voice is what appears most, I'd say.

Yeah, I was referring to the growling. That particular style of growling I really didn't care for.

If the normal voice is mostly what's on their other music, I could really get into that.
