| A question about how Pitchfork tallies up their lists Does anyone know how Pitchfork does their top 100 lists? Like, how many points are awarded to an album for being in a certain position on an individual writer's list. All I know is that those points are tallied up from every list and the big list is made. I ask because I thought that would be a fun idea to do here. Except limit it to something less ambitious, say top 25. Yes, this from the same guy that brought you "battle of the 90s". But I think this would be a better and more beneficial format than the failure that was the tournament. Everyone would submit their top 25 albums of the 90s list, and after a couple of weeks I would tally them up and report the results in a cohesive "CGR list". I just need to know how the point system works. We would just need about 20 lists (for added variety) to make it decent. What do you think? |
