| The Three Amigoes If this happens to entertain anyone...
This is one of my groups. We sing kinda funny songs about people we know, and there are several inside jokes we wrote songs about. I'll copy the post from my blog here:
"This Saturday, I had a great recording session with one of my groups, the Three Amigos. It was awesome. We recorded a little EP. Now this band might even just be considered a gag group, but it's fun. We just got our Soundclick up, and there you can listen to our music. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/7/th...oeswamusic.htm
You guys probably won't understand the lyrics (considering most of it is about inside jokes from our Winter Camp), but you guys can enjoy the music. I'm on the left panned guitar, my friend Brooks is on the right panned guitar, my other friend Van is the lead singer, and I sing backup most of the time, while brooks gets his occasional backup part. This was all recorded at my church. Hooked up the computer to the mixing board, and mic'd the 2 guitars, a Takamine (me) and a Taylor (brooks), and mic on me and Van for vocals. On the last song, me and Brooks just sang into our guitar mics.
Enjoy." |

| Hey, that's pretty good stuff. I like the whole mexican / spainish feel. The vocals are amazing, but they're alright. Fun stuff, I enjoy it.

| What exactly does it mean to be "amazing, but alright"? Forget a word?
Thanks for the comment! There are really funny stories behind a lot of these songs... |

Do you guys play shows (you sound like a good coffeehouse group) or do you just record and jam together?

| Naw, we don't play shows. We're just a little jam group who get together every once in a while (maybe like 4 or 5 times a year) and play. These recordings were the fruits of our first recording effort. We might record again in the next couple months. |

We've recorded brand new songs in our new EP "Sundown Water Trough". These songs became more serious and less silly this time. I sing lead vocals in one, also (Keep On Movin').
A couple technical notes, this was recorded in basically the same fashion as the last one. SM58's to a Peavey Unity board, then direct out to my computer, where everything was directly recorded. Brooks' guitar is left-panned this time, mine is right-panned. |

| Well, we just played our first Three Amigoes show at my church (with my other band, Third World Heroes) and I have all the audio recordings of it up on our Soundclick. It was recorded the same way we recorded the others, and was a fun gig. http://www.soundclick.com/thethreeamigoeswa |

| As long as it doesn't disappoint you that none of our songs sound remotely like "My Little Buttercup..."
And what about the music? |

Does that mean... GOOD interesting?
I reeeeally need to get some decent recordings of my other ("main") band, which I do all the songwriting for. The Three Amigoes is probably like my side project. |

Here's a little sample of the new album coming out soon. The song "Do It" is the new one. It's more complex then our other music, featuring a couple more instruments. Recorded in our home studio. Brooks's basement. |

| Hmm... I'm listening to the first song. I absolutley love the chord progression. The vox are alright. Good stuff, though.

| We've been working on our singer's voice. Though, this thing is mainly just for fun, and an outlet for us. We like to say that it's all about our message. |
