Staple was at a show near us, and I was really impressed by their live show so i picked up their cd. definetly worth a try, if u like hardcore and/or weird groups like system of a down. highlights include Fists Afire, The Songwriter, Rise of the Robots, and Red Brushstrokes Wave Goodbye

Staple is awesome, their cd is incredible. Darren Keim's voice is pretty amazing. Heard the cd once and it was my favorite. i haven't seen them in concert yet but i'm planning on seeing them in May when they come near here.. i hear that they're in the studio.. anyone know anything of this?

this seems a little unlikely, as this cd hasn't even been out a year yet.

has anyone ever gone to their site. Keim has posted details on his inspirations for each song's lyrics. It's pretty cool to read it and see just what all the songs are about

"additional guitarist search...

Attention all sweet rockers. Staple is announcing their search for an additional guitarist. We've been writing for a new record, and can hear 2nd guitar parts in almost all our songs. Applicants must..."

this if from their myspace website - Staple at myspace music

so maybe they're not in the studio but at least they're writing stuff

These guys are sweet! I love their song "Pop". It is so cool.

The lead singer's voice makes me think of Andrew from Project 86, especially on "Pop".

Staple

Staple, is, to be quite blunt, amazing. These guys are really HARDCORE. Not necessarily in music, tho the infulence is there, but in their lives. These are some worthwhile guys. And yes, they have an new album being cooked up. Due out August 30th. The four songs I've heard from it are jawdropping.

Gotta agree with you there. I have e-mailed their guitarist several times and he is a really cool guy. I really like the fact that everything Staple does, from their artwork to their lyrics, have a strong biblical backing. This is a really awesome CD and i cant wait to see them in concert.
