um

i think the whole " true Love Waits " thing means ....wait till marrige to have sex.. also to keep up the commitment to the person you're engaged to...

He said that the wait in true love waits is usually taken as waiting for ...the guy or girl God wants for you or waiting for the relationship God wants for you etc. but
Not only should we just sit back and wait for the Lord we should be waiting on the Lord. We should be like a great waiter in a restaurant that waits on whatever you want. We should wait on or serve the Lord and that way we wont necessarily be jumping at every pretty face acting desperate for a guy/girl.
I just thought that the idea was cool and gave my whole pursuit of purity another purpose

I don't think the father should neccessarily be involved in the whole dating process. Mine won't be. I haven't even seen my dad in about 4 years. If your father isn't going to give you wise direction and Godly support, then he shouldn't be involved. And Thespia, while my dad hasn't done what yours has, he abandoned my family and I, and kind of know how you feel.
