I propose that we petition to augment the English language to include an abundance of arbitrary silent and / or invisible letters. This will make all spelling and typing errors a thing of the past as long as people can pronounce the words themselves properly.
For example:
You type, "I love you, Mary-Jane." Alicia replies, "But my name isn't Mary-Jane, it's Alicia." You reply, "The M, the a, the r, the y, the J, the a, the n, and the e are silent letters, and the A, the l, the i, the c, the i, and the a are invisible letters."
Or:
You misspell the word "committee" by omitting or tripling some of the doubled letters. "Comitttee" has one invisible m and one silent t.
It's oh so easy.
