Third Day? pls. No hard feelings!!! just my opinion

Is it just me or has Third Day lost the classic rock feel? I've got Conspiracy No. 5 playing right now. Third Day has been sounding like typical christian radio to me!!! No offence!!

Pls. post your opinions!! No angery and/or judgmental posts!!

I still like them, though I do prefer their older stuff!!

I never thought that had that much of a classic rock feel in the first place.

Hello! Skynyrd!

And of course they've gone to the masses. People like them and they've been together long enough to be very polished.

Bingo. Many situations require making judgements.

The problem is not judging. The problem is Good judgment VS. Bad Judgment and failing / being UNwilling to make a judgment can be just as bad and irresponsible as making a bad jUdgement.

Don't have any personal issue with the poster. Just hoping they will understand that all of us need to be on guard to not confuse
the sounds good, feel good wisdom of the day [which promotes a relativistic / universalistic agenda] with God's actual principles.

Seems each Third Day album has it's own sound. Everyone has their favorites. Mine is Conspiracy #5. I don't think they will ever make another one like it, even though Wire came kinda close. It just didn't have that whatever it is that makes me love Con #5 so much. I can listen to that CD over and over and it still seems rather new to me. I think maybe it was in the production of the CD itself.

But having said that, I love everything (well, almost) they have put out. They are my #1 boys! They could put out a Kid's Bop CD and I'd love it.

Well...I don't want to crash the party. Actually...yes, I do. I just wanted to note that I've read a lot of stuff in this particular forum for "Third Day". Now, I'm not that familiar with them and I'm not exactly a "fan". I like one or two of their songs and such that I've heard and later found out they were by Third Day.

But all of the Christian artists out there trying to set a good example and help push others to God...ya know, they're doing a heck of a lot better than I am. So I have to keep my mouth shut...because what I do and what they do is quite different. It takes a lot more courage, strength and integrity. Some people aren't good in front of even a small number of people (reading, singing, playing instruments, etc.) I am one of those people that fumbles in that area. So I am not even in a place to be able to say, "I don't like the way that sounded" or "I don't like how 'planned' this or that seemed". A lot of worship services are planned...but...again, I can't even do something like that. If they can put together something like that and have it worked out as *planned*...then again, that's a heck of a lot better than I can ever put anything to. If they can get in front of thousands of people and sing their hearts out for Jesus to encourage others...kudos to them. I'd fall apart if I tried to do that. I've always gotten nervous in front of people. And while I'm sure a lot of people on here are gifted with singing and playing guitar and various instruments...are you on the same level and doing the same thing to see what it's like from their perspective? Travelling from here to there playing concerts? Trying to be careful, knowing that all of your 'fans' are also going to scrutinize and take for an example...everything you do and say? That's kind of rough to do and they can't please everybody. I don't know them that well...but kudos to them for getting the MESSAGE of Christ across, which is the point by the way. That's what matters. Too many times we get alluded away to focus on the music itself...just my two cents...
