| Well...I don't want to crash the party. Actually...yes, I do. I just wanted to note that I've read a lot of stuff in this particular forum for "Third Day". Now, I'm not that familiar with them and I'm not exactly a "fan". I like one or two of their songs and such that I've heard and later found out they were by Third Day.
But all of the Christian artists out there trying to set a good example and help push others to God...ya know, they're doing a heck of a lot better than I am. So I have to keep my mouth shut...because what I do and what they do is quite different. It takes a lot more courage, strength and integrity. Some people aren't good in front of even a small number of people (reading, singing, playing instruments, etc.) I am one of those people that fumbles in that area. So I am not even in a place to be able to say, "I don't like the way that sounded" or "I don't like how 'planned' this or that seemed". A lot of worship services are planned...but...again, I can't even do something like that. If they can put together something like that and have it worked out as *planned*...then again, that's a heck of a lot better than I can ever put anything to. If they can get in front of thousands of people and sing their hearts out for Jesus to encourage others...kudos to them. I'd fall apart if I tried to do that. I've always gotten nervous in front of people. And while I'm sure a lot of people on here are gifted with singing and playing guitar and various instruments...are you on the same level and doing the same thing to see what it's like from their perspective? Travelling from here to there playing concerts? Trying to be careful, knowing that all of your 'fans' are also going to scrutinize and take for an example...everything you do and say? That's kind of rough to do and they can't please everybody. I don't know them that well...but kudos to them for getting the MESSAGE of Christ across, which is the point by the way. That's what matters. Too many times we get alluded away to focus on the music itself...just my two cents... |
