Bring Out Your Dead...or Living...

As I was sitting in tutoring the other day doing whatever it is I do in tutoring a really crazy thought hit me...it's like so profound...My brother, being the little joker he is, was trying to stump some other kids in tutoring with little riddles...one of which was "IF a plane full of Americans flew into Canada and crashed where would they bury the survivors...?" Well needless to say you don't bury survivors...except in ancient Egypt and other ancient civilizations...but here in the US of A we're at least half way humane...We don't bury people alive...So thats when this thought hit me...Well let me set up a bit of history before I get to the profound things...A few weeks back a former Prison inmate came to our church and got saved...Well I was really touched and decided to kind of try to help him out...immediately people started questioning him and saying how his commitment wouldn't last 2 days...And guess what...it held true...the next Friday night he stole a speaker system out of a truck...If nobody expects you to succeed how can you expect yourself to!? So here's the profound point...ONLY IN CHURCHES DO WE BURY OUR LIVING...Before he walked to the altar that night people said Chris was a bad person and said he was unreachable because of the things he's done...It's terribly sad...We stay inside of our convenient 4 wall church cages but totally forget there is a dying world all around us...It's a shame! In every single gospel it talkes about Jesus going to people's houses who were hated...Who were never given a hope or a chance...who were regarded as the slime of the earth...the trash that people were supposed to step on...He visited Prostitutes, thiefs, murderers, contagious terminally ill people...This guy visited everyone...He NEVER gave the church a chance to bury their living because he made a sacrafice to walk out of the temple and touch the people who the church wouldn't allow in because of the way they were dressed or the things they had done...He touched lives...Then he challenged us to do the same...He got on the top of his soap box and said "This which I have done, you go do also!" So something has been lost in translation...what has the church lost since the time of Jesus...Our outreach is to reach the unreachable...Our Salvation comes from someone who is willing to save the unsaveable...Millions of People are dying everyday...Who will save them...

Will You!?
