Ashes OF Eminence

I know I already have a thread about my band, but my computer screwed up the name in the title, so I made this one.
My band is called Ashes Of Eminence.
We are a 4-piece emocore/punk/pop-punk band. I play guitar/sing/scream. We're from Central Pa around the State College area. We don't have a website yet, but we have a purevoume site. go check it out and drop us an email.
We're recording our first EP titled Modern Desease sometime very soon, so soon as we get the guy's studio finished. Our goal is to start later this month. We're shooting for 5 songs, but if things go well we might put a couple extras on it.
And here's an explanation of our name. Eminence means fame, glory, prestige etc... and in 1 chorintians the bible says that all our worldy accomplishments/posessions will be tested by fire and that all the fame/glory we had here on earth will be turned to ash. So it's always been our goal to keep all things in perpective and keep our focus on God, not on us or where we want to go.

Sorry, for the lack of updates, things have been extremely crazy lately.
We'll be be playing at a festival this summer, which we are totally excited about. Freedom Fest in Harrisburg PA. This is the first year for this event. We'll be playing with disciple, kurios and others. We're hoping to make some contacts with some of the bigger bands there to get our stuff to some labels and stuff. We still haven't started on our ep, but things should be picking up on that very soon. Our producer almost has his studio done, which we are helping with in exchange for studio time, so we're hoping by next month we'll be started.

there's no songs up yet because we don't have any lol. Well we have some terrible sounding stuff we did live with our own stuff, but it's so bad.

Well, dumbness has struck and we won't be recording till june.
we've figured out what genre we play finally. we arrrrrrre....drum roll please.....sissy core.

i don't know really. We've all got big pop backgrounds but we play harder stuff, our new stuff is screamo basically, so it's sissy-pop but it's harder, so it's "core" lol

Listening to your song right now. For the style it is (which I'm not into) it sounds pretty good. Your vocals (I'm assuming you're singing this one) need some work. All in all, I guess it's pretty catchy.

Agreed, vocals need a little work, but other than that it's fun, catchy, and good. I like it.

Yeah i know the vox need work, like we said it's basically live, we only had a chance to fix a little bit of stuff on it.
The guy that was going to produce our CD screwed us, we did some work for him in exchange for studio time and he told us we'd be recording by february (this past february), but the list of things we need to do before he's ready to record has grown consistantly. so we basically told him, look, either you find someway to get us recorded in the next few weeks or we're breaking the deal. He says he found a space and we'll start in like 2 weeks, so we'll have alot better recordings then.
That song is also our poppiest song, it's also our oldest, but we can't get rid of it due to popular demand in our core fan base (mainly girls lol), our new stuff is better...honestly it is.

We started recording last night and we got the basic parts of our 5 songs down and we're doing vocals tonight and any extra tracks we want. it should be done in a few week.

I really the song you have on your PV site. It's a fun, catchy, pop song. Keep up the good work. And if your new stuff is supposed to be better, than I really can't wait for it!

Yeah, it's harder, probably a higher scream-sing ratio like maybe 30% screaming i don't know lol. breakdowns too. fun. I guess it's not necessarily "better", our taste has just changed.
