it is a great game but its not to fun if you dont bet, which is not a good idea

The secret lies in having a big stack and knowing how to read the board. However, you're far less likely to be able to bluff online with play money because people are more willing to make crazier calls with not as great hands.

Won $83 tonight in $3/$6 Holdem at the casino tonight...It was very comical. I had never played at a casino before and so I didn't know any of the ettiquette, like not having your chips all over the place, or not taking cell phone calls, what the kill chip meant, or even how to bet properly...but I won my first four or five hands and was up more than $200 my first hour. I told them I had only played online poker and they looked at me like I was a friggin idiot...but I took 'em . Have to say, I like no limit better...usually can win small $50 pretty easily.

I found playing fake money games online is a good way to learn probabilities and disciplining yourself to play conservatively (as everyone else goes hogwild). We need to get a CGR game going on holdempoker.com sometime.

So my school is having an intermural poker tournament where they host about eight poker nights and award points based on finishes, then the top eight players have a final showdown, with the winner getting like a t-shirt or gift certificate or something. So far I've only played four times, but I've gotten second place twice and first place twice, and I'm the point leader
