I completely loved 4 out of 5 of the Douglas Adams' "Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy".. Heh, for being the ramblings of a drunken satirist, who molded them from a radio play he wrote, he did very well.. The last book. "Mostly Harmless".. Sucked, and I didn't enjoy it.. But, I guess it's still good, minus the fact, it sucks.. With that said....
"The Oath", "Prophet", "Hangman's Curse"... pretty much everything from Frank Peretti..

"Blood Heat" By Steve Pieczenik
"The Prometheus Deception" by Robert Ludlam
"The Death and Life of Superman" by Roger Stern
And... "The Client" and "The Brethren" by John Grisham

my favourite books:

The Bible
This present darkness~Frank Peretti
Piercing the darkness~Frank Peretti
The Lancaster County series~ Beverly Lewis
Annie's People~Beverly Lewis
The Left Behind series~Jerry B.Jenkins and Tim LaHaye
the Angle Trilogy~Lurlene McDaniel
The Oath~Frank Peretti
Anything by Maud Montgomery

and
Falsely Pledge my love~Harlequin romance (a good one without any drama unnecessary for readers if you know what i mean)

Actually if it weren't for swearing and lots of unnecessary stuff that people keep putting in their books, I could almost say I like them all
I also forgot about
Maggie~ I don't know who it's by, but it's like a modern day Mary Magdelane. it's good.

I completely forgot, since it's been a couple of years.. In 10th grade I read this Fascinating little book by Jerry Spinelli, it is of course; Star Girl, This book actually helped change my view of how I am and act. I strongly reccomend it (and I cried . I did) and also, this little diddy in 8th grade December Stillness By Mary Downing Hahn .. Also a great book. Because, it was "force reading".. and it didn't bore me.. so, that's why I reccomend it.

I'm afraid that I will never be able to make any type of legitimate list of my favorite books...I have so many, and have allowed some to slip further back than my memory can follow...but here are a few that I thought of just now:

The Remains of the Day -- Kazuo Ishiguro
My Name is Asher Lev -- Chaim Potok
Winter of Fire -- Sherryl Jordan
The Count of Monte Cristo -- Alexandre Dumas
The Giver -- Lois Lowry

Um, I'm not sure which translation is best, but I wouldn't recommend getting the unabridged version. Normally, I'm all over the "original" sorts of things, but (in my opinion) the unabridged COMC just seems really droll and superfluous. I would imagine that any of the classics collections (i.e. Barnes & Noble) should be worthwhile.
