Michael Crawford

wow... i had seen the commercials for phantom of the opera, and i liked the song i heard, music of the night, so i downloaded it. the guy on the track, michael crawford......is amazing. i think josh groban might match him but....wow...anyone else seen the movie/ heard this guy sing?

btw, music of the night is also an amazing song that is hard for most to sing. i wish i had a higher voice range so i could.

He's not the Phantom in the movie; that would be Gerard Butler. Michael Crawford did the Phantom's parts on the official Broadway CD years ago. I absolutely HATE him as the Phantom, especially compared to Gerard. He sounds like a wimp.

awww I have to agree...Michael Crawford was the first phantom ever after Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote the opera... He is the supreme master (alert: note how that is my opinion) of the phantom... his range is incredible...

The guy I saw in London qualifies for me as the best Phantom ever, however Michael Crawford is amazing. I think he's better than Gerard Butler, not that Butler doesn't do a stellar job in the movie, but Crawford was fabulous.
