I enjoy this cd a lot the only towo blindside cds i have are Silence and About a Burning Fire so i odnt really know what their old music soundds like. I think i like silence a little better then this one but still a very good cd.

good album overall. There is one problem about the whole genre changing though: Blindside is strongest when they are performing more screamo/hard rock songs than hardcore/metal songs. if they had started out the style they are now and then changed to what their old stuff sounds like, people wouldn't be complaining as much.

there would be just as much complaining, just from a different group of people....people like me, who are into harder stuff, would like them better, but people who like softer stuff would complain that they went to hard

i don't really get what you mean by 'softer'. they didn't go softer they just went to a dfferent style. it sounds louder and harder in their old stuff because there is a lack of decent bassline.

well, IMHO, i think it's a softer style than their old stuff....maybe not to others....

I just got this disc. Its great, much better than The Depression, and A Though Crushed my Mind, and rivaling Silence.

I finally acquired the CD. I gave it a 9 out of 10. While all the songs were great, they could've been a little more creative in either producing/recording/mixing.
