I got the Hawk Nelson cd for christmas last year but never listened to it, last month i saqw it in my closet and listened to it, now its my favorite cd. They have to make another.
Favorite tracks
1. California
2. Letters to the President
3. THings we go through

I give this Cd a 5. Its somewhere in the middle at some points i think hey this could be good. then they go and ruin that with some really dumb song. i wish there lyrics were a little more mature, sometimes they try then others they lose it. Musicians ship is what really seems to hurt me

Hawk Nelson has a new cd coming out in April. It's called "Smile...It's the End of the World" I can't wait!!!!

Agreed. Listen to them, then Relient K or Blink 182. Their style is a complete copy of other bands. When you're an original band, the objective is to write original music with a new style, and to change the music scene.

They really don't sound like RK or B182. Mabye a bit like old RK, but not Blink 182. Blink and new RK is crap, HN, I think sounds alot better...

But they are the same genre, so they cant sound too different...

OK, then compare them to Good Charlotte and New Found Glory. There's not much of a difference.


Simply put, Hawk Nelson isn't an original band. True, I do listen to a few, a FEW, of their songs on occasion, but they are not anything new.

Hey! Quit dogging on Hawk! What do you expect from a new band?
I bought Letters to the President and loved it + they have a new one coming out April 4th and I'll probably buy it too. True, they are the whole pop rock but in my opinion they are better than most and they can probably rock better than any of you too so give em a break.

Still defending Hawk
Yah, but it all depends what kind of music you like I guess. I like the guys and I think they had a killer start. With Trev Mcnevan coaching his younger brother I think they can really blaze a new trail for pop rock.

Are you serious? "What do you expect from a new band"? So, because it's their debut album, it's ok if it sucks? And it's ok if it's just a copy of what everyone else does?

Love it!
Hey this cd was great I bought it last summer and I'm looking forward to their next one. I agree with taco bell guy, I don't know why everyone always slams Hawk jus cuz they sound like some of the other secular bands. I think they are pretty cool!
