Kissing...
Well, my sister made the commitment a couple months ago not to kiss another boy until her wedding day when the preacher tells them too..and I fully back her up with that commitment. Her reasoning in a nut-shell is "I ain't kissin' no toad", and she wants to make sure that the next 'frog' she kisses, turns out to be the prince she deserves, not the toad. And as for me, I prayed about that desicion because she caught my attention by making it, and I realized that it wasn't something that God was calling me to do. But what He did place on my heart was the fact that I need to STOP replacing communication with physical contact. It's quite easy to get wrapped up in a relationship and realize that you spend more time 'enjoying each other's company' without words. I mean, at least this human being typing this realizes it.. And so I made a 1-2-3 commitment. The longest relationship I've ever been in was 1 month, 2 weeks, and 3 days. And within all of those past relationships I've made some stupid choices. And so I've commited to God to not kiss any guy in future relationships until 1 month, 2 weeks, and 3 days into the relationship so that I can see if we're about getting to know each other, or if it fizzles out. And who knows, the next guy I date might decide along with me that we shouldn't kiss at all. Just have to listen to what God says.
