So, welcome to my journal. Before you read any further, lets get one thing straight, I will not, from this point on use proper punctuation. that said, let me tel you about me!.....My name is Joel.....I'm 17 years old, and grading this year(2005)....i love playing guitar and bass....i have a girlfriend, nadine, that i've been going out with for almost 2 1/2 years.....i'm in the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets(similar to the US Naval Sea Cadets)...i like to mountain bike and hike.....next year i plan to go to Calgary, Alberta to become a Machinist ...well, i dunno what to say, so ask me some questions....

So, i'm putting this edit in here for new people who come to my blog, since pretty much all the info about me at the top is wrong now....so, i'm now in Calgary, working in a machine shop as a Machinist Apprentice.....i'm almost 19....Nadine is no longer my g/f..she's my fiancée(gotcha!....it'll be 4 years on Oct 10th, 2006)....we are getting married on Dec 31st, 2006.....i'm no longer in Sea Cadets...while at college, i stopped playing guitar, but now i'm getting back into it....life is good

nost of the hiking is really good.....cause there's lots of mountains....well...i suppose it'd be better to hike where i live, but there's no one to go with.....PS....that's Vancouver Island, the city of Victoria is right near the bottom on the mainland said of the island(it's the capital of BC)

Right..I knew that...lol..I get em mixed up cuz of the V's...do you have to take a boat to get there or anything? Or is there a bridge?

no bridge yet....they're thinking about it though.....so you can fly, or take the ferry....i usually fly....and don't worry about the V's...people here get it mixed up sometimes

so, this weekend i'm busy for the whole weekend...it's amazing that i'm even home....i'm supposed to be in town all day for 3 days, and spending the nights there....it's for some cadet thing....it's kinda funny, cause we use the Militia's building, and they're there this weekend...and a guy from my History12 class just joined the 44th Feild Engineer Squadron(militia), so he's doing recruit training, and getting yelled at....while i yell at people all weekend....it's kinda fun....no, i don't power-trip....i would never power-trip....never...really....nope..not me....oh, i guess maybe just a little....maybe a lot....but it's also a lot of work....anyway, i gotta get back to Trail(the town[pop. 7,000] i'm in this weekend)

Yay!!...i have no school tomorrow....it's exam time, and i don't have an exam, so i don't have to go to school....and i only have to go in the afternoon on Friday and Monday....and stay home and sleep in on tuesday again.....

And a bit more about me: I play guitar(have been since 2002), and i play Bass(since X-mas 2004)....I have one brother who is 3 years younger than me(thatdrummerguy on this site, but he only uses the arcade and hasn't been on for a month or two)....I've been a christian since my 5th birthday....and of course, like any teen, i've fallen a lot(and at times not got back up for a while)....but anyone who's a christian has done that....

oh, yes....more than one other person!!!...i'm excited now....you'll have to excuse my sick/dry sense of humor....you'll get used ot it....

Some other cool things....In november i went to Ecuador to work at a MMI(Medical Ministries International) charity hospital...i know nothing about medicine, so i worked on a construction team.....i even helped start the building of a bambo hut...it was a really cool place.....even the poor people smiled....so much different from our North American culture.....btw, the most people we saw on "the family motorcycle" was 6.....i didn't even know that was possible....

I guess i'll be adding stuff about my past for a while, since my memory is bad at remembering things on call....i'll remember more later.....peace out

I mainly listen to metal, but i like just about anything exept country and pop....My fav bands are Demon Hunter, Living Sacrifice, Tourniquet, Iron Maiden, Metallica.....stuff along those lines.....I've seen Thousand Foot Krutch and Kutless(who i don't like anymore, because of their 2nd album) live.....i like to watch just about any action movie...the Bourne series, and Bonds, and medievil stuff too....Braveheart and stuff...I also read a lot...i mainly read stuff like tom clancy....full of action and political non-sense...
