| What up with that???!!! What's wrong with the christian artists today?
That's what's wrong,"artists",God is not looking for entertainers(check John 4:23).The point of making music is to exalt Jesus, glorify His Name with our lives.I've had heard bands(I wont say names)that through the whole album barely name Jesus(some dont even mention Him)and some even have songs about stuff that's not even close to edifi in any way.Dont get me wrong,I'm not talking bout if rock is bad or not,I'm just sayin',if the purpose of an album you release,is to glorify Jesus and/or reach the lost, then why sing about "red convertibles",and include lines like..."ride like them hells angels".
Cuz you want them to come to the feet of Jesus because of the love for the sacrifice in the cross, not because the music sound tight. |

| I totally agree with what you are saying but the lost people don't want to listen to worship music. They are drawn in by some of the "Christian Artists" because they have a good sound. Then when they listen to them maybe they'll get the real message. |

| i agree i think that bands should at the very least glorify jesus. mention jesus. while i don't think that every song has to necessarily be a worship song or be all about jesus, such as a love song, it should be glorifying to god, that is, no cursing, lude talk, questionable anything. i think fun songs are great too, but if you are going to be a christian "artist" or whatever, the christian part does come first in the phrase, and so it should in the way it is treated. it seems to be a small part of taking up your cross. i need this too by the way. ok. bye.
if i am not playing for jesus, then why am i playing?

| totally agree with you, trends and whatever is in,seems to obscure the real motive of worship.Cuz you say "I love God" a couple of times in your recored, doesn't necessarily makes you a christian.I agree they bring the gospel to the kids using the music they'd listen to,but they gotta be really careful with what they say or how they say it.The music ain't gonna save this kids,it's the gospel of salvation that's gonna bring this kids to Jesus(Isaiah 55:11).

| You can't expect "lost" people to suddenly be attracted to worship music... you gotta meet them where they are, as God does for us.

| Ain't nobody expectin 'em to be attracted to worship music, but as christian artists, they should know that the music is only a tool to bring the real message, the gospel of Christ. So why come out with all these songs if the message ain't being spread,it needs to be boldly said.If it's a record to reach the "lost",then it needs to speak of Jesus even more.People that know Jesus don't need to hear about the gospel of salvation, hello, they already believe...

| Yeah kid, bands like Third Day and Delirious, show worship isn't about style,it's about heart.Because it's not about entertaining the audience, but ministering to the Lord, not cuz He needs it,but because we need to.
Peace out and God bless
