| Registering Where did you guys and dolls register at? If you haven't, are you? If so, then where? And if not, then why?
Did you gals have fun? Did the guys enjoy it as well or did you have to basically drag them along?
Marrieds-how much from your registry did you actually receive as gifts?
Chris and I went yesterday to register and it was quite enjoyable. We registered at Linen's N' Things, Target and Williams-Sonoma. Chris was pretty bored in Linen's N' Things and Williams-Sonoma, but at Target we picked out alot of things that he was really interested in, so it was more enjoyable. And, he got to use the scanner thing, which helped. |

Which is funny you say that, because he talked to his parents the nite before we went and they told him that he wasn't really going to enjoy it too much, but that i definitely would, so it would be wise for him to be on his best behavior. |

| We registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Dillards. We only got the rest of our dishes at Dillards because BB&B didn't have all the other stuff.
It was pretty fun at first, but neither one of us realized that it would take as long as it did to go through the entire store. Oh well... |

| Yeah, we kept the entire day open for it because i knew that Linen's N' Things was going to be a tedious task. Target too, but a majority of the store is clothing and non-registerable items, so we obviously didn't have to go through the entire store. Williams-Sonoma is a smaller store, so we weren't in there for too long. Overall though, it was a long day...on our feet for a long time. But, afterwards we treated ourselves to a nice dinner at Olive Garden.
What did you guys and dolls put on your registery? |

| EVERYTHING...hahaha
You can look at our registry if you go here. Just type either one of our names in there. Oh, and you can go to dillards.com and do the same thing.
Some of the stuff we registered for we don't really need, but we just wanted to see if someone would get it for us...haha. Like that Robot vacuum thing. The one where you just turn it on and it bounces off of the walls and stuff. We already have a vacuum, but it would be neat if someone got. We haven't decided if we would take it back and exchange it for something else or keep it because it's cool. |

| We registered at Target and a few other places. I liked shopping for the kitchen knives. The rest is a blur. I remember scanning a Nintendo 64 on a lark. Nope, didn't get it. |

| We registered at Target, Linens n Things, and The Bon. My husband did all the scanning...he had fun doing that. The funny thing was when we went back to look at our lists, there were things on there that we hadn't even realized we registered for (toilet paper, things like that!! ) We registered for practically everything. Most of the stuff we knew we wouldn't get but figured we'd try anyway. A few people gave us gift cards for stores that we registered at. At the time that didn't really make much sense since we had a list of things there that we wanted. When we finally used them though, we were able to get exactly what we wanted/needed. Overall though, we really didn't get very much stuff from our lists. We only got one duplicate gift though...a salad spinner! The funny thing is that most of our stuff is still in storage. We don't have room for it in our house. So, when we finally buy a bigger house, it will be like unwrapping wedding presents again! |

| I'm not looking to get married any time soon, but are you guys starting your married life from a pretty scratch point?
I'm just wondering, are the registries to get new stuff so that it's new as you start your life together, or is it because most people who get married don't have all of the stuff they need for a household?
I'm curious, since even though i'm a single male, i've lived on my own for at least 3 years, and have all of the typical household junk. What do you do in that case?
Anyhow, mostly curiosity talking here. |

| Matt and I registered at Macy's, Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn. Macy's took super long because we are both starting from scratch, so we need everything from pots & pans down to the little kitchen stuff, sheets, towels, etc. We didn't register for much at PB, but C&B is officially one of my favorite stores. And you can add stuff or take stuff off online, so it made it really easy for us. Matt didn't seem to mind, and I was surprised that our tastes didn't clash too much, hehe.
