I'm just wondering, are the registries to get new stuff so that it's new as you start your life together, or is it because most people who get married don't have all of the stuff they need for a household?
I'm curious, since even though i'm a single male, i've lived on my own for at least 3 years, and have all of the typical household junk. What do you do in that case?
Anyhow, mostly curiosity talking here. | He has a lounge suit and things to go in a lounge and we both have bedroom things. We will be using his queen size bed.
Our registry will probably be mainly for kitchen and bathroom. We will also go on the weekends to purchase 2nd hand stuff. We will also rent first and I will move in before as I am paying for rent right now. |

| A little advise/warning from a newlywed Target STINKS! I love their stuff, I shop there quite often actually however, the registry stuff is ridiculous. If people give you gifts and you lose the gift receipt you will only get back what the gift is at that moment, like if it's 50% off you will only get that much back. Remember at Target most of the things you register for now will be on sale when you get married and if people don't give you gift receipts or you lose them not only does it stink for you but it really stinks that they wasted their money like that. My husband and I got 5 crock pots some dishes we didn't want and both were on sale and unfortunatly we didn't have the gift receipt, the dishes were 40% off and the crock pot was 20% off.
Not only that but the people are pretty rude there, we went to several target's not just one and all of them treated us badly. I might have though it was because we looked young, but I wasn't with my husband I was with my mom and they even treated her badly and she's the nicest person in the world.
Anywho, just thought I'd give ya a heads up there . Btw, if you have a Khols or a Foley's around they are AWESOME to work with and so is William-Sonoma. I could spend all my money in Willaim Sonoma lol.

| One of the places I registered for was Kitchen's ETC, only to have them go out of business one month after the wedding. We had so much stuff we wanted to bring back, and they insisted that there would be NO RETURNS. It was quite upsetting.
Places like Target don't really know how to work registries either...I got 16 queen size pillows for my shower. Not too fun. I didn't have great luck with registering, although it was fun. I think I only got to scan one thing myself though, my husband defintely had a ball with that

| we registered at Sears. We really didn't need alot as I had lived on my own for a couple years prior to the wedding, but it was a good opportunity to get some nicer things. We got maybe half the things listed on the registry. And tons of towels. I think I registered for 2 and got 12. Even still... I got more towels for Christmas.
