I'm looking for a bass. Mostly cos I'm tired of playing other people's..haha. Pero el uno problemo is I dont really know too much about them, and which are good and which are not...or what to look for or anything...so, can y'all look at this and tell me what you think?

It's a copy of a Fender Jazz bass. I've played some Johnson stuff, and most of it feels like any other beginner/starter equipment (though they do actually sell some very nice things). Not bad, but you could probably do better. I would try to find something like a Peavey Milestone (http://www.peavey.com/mi/milestone_iii.html), a Fender Standard Jazz (http://www.fender.com/electricbasses.../jazzbass.html), a Slammer by Hamer Blitz Bass (http://www.kamanmusic.com/hamer/html/slammer/blitz.html) or a Hamer Cruise Bass (http://www.kamanmusic.com/hamer/html...rs/cruise.html). All should be easy to find used, and will keep a higher resale value. Kepp cheacking ebay, and also look at the Harmony-Central Classifieds and http://www.bassgear.com classifieds.

In the future if you really get into basses an Ernie Ball musicman/stringray is about as top as the line as you can get.

Fenders (Jazz and P) are great choices for now, and would be my choice if I was to buy a bass. Happy Hunting.

I'm also wanting to get a bass guitar. The only bass i've played is an Ibanez, but they are great bass guitars and the one i played was only $220. I would suggest looking at some Ibanez's.
