I've heard some really awesome girl drummers.

As far as them being skilled snare drum exhibitionist that remains to be seen.

From what I have been told, and can't offer valid proof although some girls have verified to me, women lack one essential bone in their wrist which prevents them from being anymore flexible than a man in his wrist. So, the ability to do awesome exploits when playing sanre drums solos and tricks on the set are almost impossible for women with the absense of that particular bone in their wrist.

That's merely hear-say, but I wonder if it's true, because I have yet to meet a girl who can flat out burn a guy at snare drum exhibition, and of course I mean drum corp style percussion.

I play drums along with many other instruments. I would have to say drums is tied for my favorite with guitar. Girl drummers always make a band look better/cooler, so go for it. I promise they're not hard. If you can breathe, you can play drums.

Not necessarily true. I know people who have been tinkering with drums for years and theys till can't keep a beat!

This isn't to mean that everyone can't play drums, but some people are gifted with better rythm than others.

Cool girls can play, too!

HI!
Even though I'm DEFINITELY not a girl drummer, (no offense) I know one who can 'rawk' JUST AS good as me.
Not better, not worse, but just as good.
thanx.

I actually take a little bit of offense to this....

to me this is saying "anyone can play drums" and its not true. just not true...

some people are not blessed with rhythm, others just aren't blessed with musical skill period.

I would rank this comment like "anyone can play drums" just as low as "drummer's aren't real musicians."

true a LOT of drummers just bang around but then you have those drummers who REALLY know what they're doing, are on top of their playing, and are really just something else.

Victor

PS - jesusfreak i know u didn't intend to offend anyone...i'm just posting my thoughts..

jesusfreak, no offense, but could nto be farther from the truth. if u can breath, u can just breath. thats about it. u actually have to know rythyms and beats and know how to stay on tempo. and u also need to know how to do three or more things at once, hence hand, foot, and eye coordination. girl drummers r cool tho u dont see much of them. skillet has a girl drummer, so does the nonchristian band motley crue.
