| its a sucky song, but the linguistic point remains. We cannot in human terms speak of things from an eternal perspective. Human language is flawed.

| Personally, I like the song, but I agree with many of the concerns raised. |

| I don't want to repeat anything someone's already pointed out, but the song isn't talking about saving yourself. In the verse it kind of paints a picture of real life by saying, "Welcome to the fallout, welcome to resistance." Then it says, "The tension is here between who you are and who you could be, between how it is and how it should be." This is talking to the person who has been faced with what is right but is struggling with the tension between what he is doing, even spiritually, and what he should be doing. He's saying i dare you to move into that place of being what you should be, actually doing what you know is right. and it could even be about salvation. That God is waiting for you and has salvation for you, but is waiting for you to move, or come to HIm, and accept it. |

| I dare you to move/I dare you to move/ I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor.
Newsflash: there's no mention of God there. Besides, the Biblical picture of Salvation is not one of God sitting around waiting for humanity to do something. No matter your view on salvation, God takes a much more active view than that. |

For me, the song is about getting up when you fall over; don't give up; pick yourself back up.

| i personally think that the reason why its questioning and leaving you wondering why is because thats what gets there secular audience questioning. |

God wants us all to get up off our butts and get out into the world to be salt and light. He won't do it for us, we have to make the decision of whether or not to get out there. We make that decision by our own power, not by anyone elses but us. God is not going to think for us, He'll council us through His word and by the Holy Spirit, but eternally, the decision is up to us, not Him.

| DARE YOU TO MOVE To often Christians are in battles biggest example LIFE and CHOICES we make in it. The distinctive choice in life is HEAVEN or HELL? Welcome to the planet...(Satan says welcom to the world look what it offers...Money, sex, drugs, idols and false gods) Welcome to existence. {The Lord brought us into this very existence we have to Praise Him every single day for this very life but also pray daily for forgiveness that the human dies out so God may come in} Everyone's here x2 [People Christians and Sinners together daily different choices and actions are made]
I DARE YOU TO MOVE x2 (Satan says try it move see what i have waiting to come against you)
I DARE YOU TO LIFT YOURSELF UP OFF THE FLOOR ( satan go ahead and fight in the end i win)
I DARE YOU TO MOVE x2 (Satan again laughing in every christian's face){ But GOD says its okay i gotcha back get up brush urself off and try again}
Like today never happened
like today never happened before{ God gave his SON so we could have a second chance at life and have it more abundantly brush yourself off and go on because God cast our SINS as far as the EAST is from the WEST}
SATAN basically sings the next verse to say welcome to the world my world i'm in control and i control the tricks i call the shots create the tension and the confusion but can make it all better the bible states SATAN is the AUTHOR of confusion and the FATHER of LIES he only is here to cause us pain and see how many he can get thru the gates:
WELCOME TO THE FALLOUT
WELCOME TO RESISTANCE
THE TENSION IS HERE
THE TENSION IS HERE
BETWEEN WHO YOU ARE AND WHO YOU COULD BE
BETWEEN HOW IT IS AND HOW IT SHOULD BE.
again satan dares us to move....however at the same time GOD dares us to move and fight back...he gives life and the power to get up off the floor and take a stand for God and that's the next chorus's choice deciding whether to cower back away from Satan or pull out our Armor of God and fight take a STAND....
The next verse my personal favorite to me is from the Son of God Jesus Christ...
MAYBE REDEMPTIONS HAS STORIES TO TELL
MAYBE FORGIVENESS IS RIGHT WHERE YOU FELL
WHERE CAN YOU RUN TO ESCAPE FROM YOURSELF
WHERE YOU GONNA GO
WHERE YOU GONNA GO
SALVATION IS HERE {THE ULTIMATE SACRAFICE WAS JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF HE DIED ON CALVARY FOR OUR SINS AND THAT WE MAY BE COVERED BY THE BLOOD TO ENTER INTO HEAVEN}
The final chorus
Christian are fighting back and taking what the enemy has stolen from us... With Jesus right behind us watching our backs and we gotta praise and finally DARE ourselves to MOVE and STAND upto satan because PRAISE GOD WE CAN OVERCOME because JESUS died for us
I DARE YOU TO MOVE AND TAKE A STAND FOR GOD...
I DARE YOU TO MOVE AND SING IT IN YOU CHURCH
I DARE YOU TO SING IT AND EXPLAIN ABOUT THE MEANING IT HAS
THAT LIFE HAS A CHOICE HEAVEN or HELL ? Live for GOD or idolize SATAN
The song has a beautiful and powerful meaning from God":
I dare you to move and take a stand for me against the enemy...with Jesus we overcome...and we gotta praise him for that...
Praise him for the fact that the enemy can't overcome because he can't cross the bloodline... |
