hey! welcome to cgr, wayne state student. so you are a michigander? awesome. i suppose you have some nice opinions on weather and other things like that. i've lived there all my life, and probably will be there for another 20 years. or at least for a long time. so you are studying music? that's awesome. what do you plan to do with that? teach? compose? that'd be cool to major in. if you have any questions, or want to chill with a fellow michigandese speaking person, im or pm me anytime. and if oyu haven't already, start a blog! -lauren

Thanks! Yep, I've lived in MI all 20 of those years...I like the summers, but the winters--brrr!---especially walking across the campus, which is rather large.

I want to teach, actually--I have a few students right now even. That's not why I'm going, though--I just love music! I wish they allowed majors to take more instruments...I can only take a major instrument and TWO SEMESTERS of a secondary...*scowl*. I want to learn cello, guitar, viola and jazz piano (I play classical), and those won't fit in those two darn semesters! Ah well.

Composing WOULD be awesome--I've always wanted to compose...maybe I'll try my hand at it once I've gotten a few of those theory and SATB courses under my belt
