Story of my life.

Another day, another dollar, er, another day anyway. I went for a drive and located a church that is close to my new place, and I plan on attending this Sunday. There are quite a few churches around, so I'll probably have the chance to go to a few and find a place that works for me.Then I spent most of the day playing Metroid Prime.

My goal for this week is to locate a DMV, get my California drivers license and a printout of my record, and then start looking for work. My uncle wants me to pe a parts truck driver, but I'm under 21 so I may have to find something else to do until my birthday. Either way I have to go to work, cause if I don't then my parents will insist that I go to school, and right now I'm kinda lost as far as my future goes, so I'm just gonna get a job a chill for while and try to find a direction.

Thanks for stopping by, your welcome anytime, and all questions are appreciated.

yeah... that's about where I stand, too. My family would be happy to send me to school but I don't see any point in going if I don't know what I want to do...

Exactly. Luckily my parents do understand that I am working on it, and they are very good about stuff like this.

Raarrrggggg......Finaly got my computer working again after a couple of days. Thank God. So lets see, I got one of my three objectives done for last week. I went to Church yesterday at a local church. Service was ok, I think I'll probably try a few more churches though before I decide to stay at any one church. I did enjoy their praise team, and the pastor spoke very well, so thats a good start for me. Other than that and wrestling with my computer nothing much going on.

Man, its been a while since I posted in here. Still nothing happening for me, my life sucks!
Still looking for a job, sent out a couple of applications, hopefully I'll find something soon. Maybe I'll try something else to keep myself posting in here, like a weekly comic strip or something, who knows.

Solid ideas........ok as of today,

Hmm I was playing Kotor II and Metroid Prime, but I beat both of them last week, so nothing at the moment.

As for books, that should keep me pretty busy posting as I usually read at least one book a week. Two weeks ago I read the Dragon Crown War cycle(three books) by Michael Stackpole, and Congo by Michael Crichton. Last week I read Sahara and Pacific Vortex by Clive Cussler, and this week I'm reading Deep Six by Clive Cussler.

Stupid pet thing.....
My mothers dog tried to catch a dove this morning. Rather funny actually, because the dove was probably bigger than the dog.

Tried another church again today. Had an alright service. This one was a foursquare, on the small side but it seemed nice. I think we're still going to try a few more, there are a lot of churches in the greater Sacto area.

Now lets see, something else.....oh I know, some real controversy here; I am looking into getting a motorcycle. I have always wanted to ride, but my mother has other ideas. Before I was born my father was in an accident while riding his and he was in coma for a few days or something, so she made him promise to never ride again(or more truthfully, told him to pick between her and riding ) Naturally this judgement passed on to me geneticaly. My mothers brother also rides, but he was just in a major accident last year, so she is even harder set on a "no bike" family plan since then. Needless to say, all of my research has been very hush hush so far. I have put into action a plan to test the waters, I have been making passing statements in very limited quantity when I see motorcycles. Things like, "wow thats a cool bike" or "thats what I need to save on fuel money" to try and both judge my mom's feelings and insert the idea that I like motorcycles into her head. I'm planning on talking to my uncle soon too, he's been riding for a very long time so I know he will have things to say. Man I feel like I'm in charge of a covert op with all the stuff I'm doing.

I guess the real meat of the problem is that I still live under my parents roof, so things like this can be very sticky issues. Oh well, it does give me one more thing to report on in here, so I guess its good in some ways.

Honestly, motorcycles scare the shoes off me... but I am interested in what you mother had to say...

Have you asked her about it yet?

I remember living under my parents roof... And as much as I hated it then... I appriciate my parents for doing what they did for me.
I know that sounds not at all helpful... or interesting (haha) but maybe you can find some sort of encouragement in it .

Hey thanks for visiting my humble abode, er, blog. And I totally understand what you mean about parents doing things for the good of their children. I have a tremendous amount of respect for my parents, that is why I am trying to handle the situation so delicately. I have no intention of getting a motorcycle for at least six months, and I might not get one even then. And if it comes down to my mother not allowing me to have one while I live under their roof, I am willing to abide by their wishes.

It's just that lately my life has been very, well, stale. And I want to change it. So I came up with a set of goals that I would never consider normally, but have always wanted. Things like going to Japan, learning to surf, taking martial arts lessons, and riding a motorcycle. Right now the easiest one of those to pursue is the motorcycle.

I am going to save up my money, and look into everything that I need to know; licensing, insurance, riding classes, what kind of bike to get, helmet and gear, all that stuff. Then I am going to talk with my parents before I do anything. I can always just keep saving money if we don't see eye to eye, or put it into something else, like my car or some new music equipment. Until then I am going to try and "soften up" my mom and see if I can get some favorable responses. I just really need something new and exciting. Something that is fully my own.

Anywho, thanks for stopping by, your welcome any time. I'm trying to keep at this, it seems to help me unwind a bit.

getting a motorcycle would be easier to pursue than learning martial arts? I was just looking at the list and thinking... hmmm... doesn't a motorcycle usually cost a large amount of money? and that one's the easiest to accomplish...
