| yeah sorry about yesterday. I feel really bad about missing youth group two weeks in a row, but i've been in nightmare mode at work lately. Very sucky.
I will say one thing. coming out there and hanging out with those kids, and trying to be the role model that i *should* be anyway has certainly helped my personal commitment and relationship with the head cheese.
good times. |

| Rei, thanks.
On another note, here's an update on the only good thing that has happened in this week, that is already 38:37 (HH:MM) old.
I got a new order of CD's.
10,000 Maniacs - Our Time in Eden
The Dingees - Sundown to Midnight
Len - You Can't Stop the Bum Rush
Nitro Praise - Ultimate Nitro Praise
The Proclaimers - Sunshine on Leith
Weezer - (Blue Album)
Weezer - Pinkerton
so yeah. That's the highlight of my week so far. I talked to my sister, who is the only person who's been nice to me since saturday. I'm ecstatic.

| a specific kind of hope? Hope for salvation? Hope that their time of difficulty will pass?
Narrow it down if you could.
I'm trying to bring myself "hope" that I will be able to pay off this years (2004) tax debt and save some money for 2005 before April 15, 2006.
I paid my first payment yesterday of $5,900.00- I only owe $9,477.56 more for this year, plus penalties and interest. Hopefully only interest accrues until 8/15/05 (extension filed) and penalties don't accrue until after that. I'm going to attempt to finance the total if possible, so that i don't have to pay the entire thing twice (last year i paid $1792 on a $1250 bill between april 15 & july 15.
Oh, I'm building a work-bench for my garage tomorrow. I hope to have pictures and other such fun things.

| I haven't updated in a long time. here's a basic update:
work is "meh". I commute every day. It's carpooling & ferry travel, so i don't actually have to drive. It's a lot less stress, but a lot more time. I get up @ 6am to be in work at 8am. I leave work at 4:30pm to arrive home at 6pm. It kind of sucks because it's basically 12 hours of commitment for 8 hours of pay.
We're salaried employees but we're switching to more of an hourly setup, and have to justify which hours we spent on which projects. I'm less than enthused about the extra work.
I am not making enough money, and we still haven't gotten health insurance. This does not coincide well with a) my knee situation and... well. Nevermind.
i have been considering joining the air national guard, if for no other reasons than I have a great respect for people serving in our military, the college opportunities sound nice, and I'd get to do something else for work for a change of pace. I'm kind of bored about stagnating in my life.
one intersting thing about military service is that psychiatric records are reviewed and taken into consideration. Medication for a psychiatric condition is an almost guarunteed disqualification. Luckily, I have never been "officially" diagnosed with anything, nor medicated. hmm...
So to sum up:
I'm bored at work, my knee hurts, i'm broke, my mental state is "weird", my ability to begin relationships with women has stagnated (a long time ago). Things are boring-
Sometimes you're just left wondering "what's the point of it all?"

| well, weirdnesses in life:
I house/office/dog sat all week from friday 10/21 until sunday 10/30. It was "fun", if by fun I mean that I stayed at the office, watched a ton of movies (some crap, some not) and dealt with a little annoying beast. Oh, yeah, and outside of work, i had human contact once last week. WOOOO
Movies (the good):
Taking lives - not too bad. The character development was much better than what I would expect from a jolie film.
Absolute power - good development, clever plot. Eastwood films generally tend to be on the good side of suck, so it was a safe bet
Big Fish - this was an enjoyable movie. Burton movies are always a fun ride. On a side note, marla singer has never been so beautiful.
Patriot games - the more I think about it, the more I realize that harrison is a much better Ryan than Baldwin was.
Enemy of the state: It has Gene Hackman in it, stuff blows up, there's Seth Green playing a very similar role to what he would play in "Italian Job"
Movies (The Meh):
National Treasure - it was amusing, and the storyline had enough spots between the holes to be interesting. But frankly, it was another "Hi, I'm Nicholas Cage!" movie. [shrug]
Movies (the stink):
Home alone: Yes, I was this bored. Yes, I had run out of quality titles. Wow, I can't believe how much funnier this was in 1990.
---
On another note, I cooked quite a bit this past week. I'm a marvelous cook.

Glad you got to view some film. Sorry I wasn't around for you. Tomorrow, your ass is mine, pal. Prepare for a smack-down.
