| No, I don't think so, but if we're ever to converse again, it'll have to be here, seems I got kicked out of another thread.... Still, this thread is the reason I am a member of the "MBIWWBAGF" club, much less the co-captain. You ought to read the Autobiography, I get killed in it... That should make the wolverine happy.

Well, actually, I didn't feel like crying, but I did wish heartily that I had, oh, about eight hundred dollars right handy to blow on a guitar....

| The street was dark, and virtually empty; endless too, by the look of it. One could assume that Small was fairly jittery as he made his way quickly back towards the offices of PI sabertooth; sabertooth's office was inexplicably in the nastiest, or one of the nastiest, sectors of the city.
At long last he dodged past yet another would-be mugger with a large knife and dove through the front door of Sabertooth's building.
"Rude of you to come busting in like that." commented the ever-enigmatic detective from behind his desk. "the doorbell is most often employed by those seeking entry."
"Be that as it may," replied the extremely shaken, and shaking Small, "but I was almost murdered out there."
"Then I should have been able to solve your murder as well as Small's, and I should have been happier, busier, and richer. Next time do please get killed, it would be a help."
This comment immensely surprised and horrified Small; but he swallowed his horror enough to inquire if there had been any headway made in the case of Small's death.
"Only this, I have two suspects, the first one, NateDawg, refuses to believe that Small is dead, apparently because of the fact that you haven't been killed yet. The second is the more plausible; her name is Lizwrenne. She lives in the nicer part of town, and has a big, blue backyard into which Small apparently ventured. At first things went very well, but then there arose some sort of dispute, and Small was banished from the backyard. Not only that, but several times, ms. Wrenne actually came to Small's house and made comments the gist of which were essentially threats."
Small was chilled as he listened, but after taking a swig of some amber liquid, Sabertooth continued,
"Several days after Small disappeared, she made a comment concerning how glad she was that he was dead."
"At this moment," concluded Sabertooth, "our primary suspect in the investigation of Small's death, is Lizwrenne."

| Everything was very quiet. All around was quiet. Indoors was painfully still, and not a noise penetrated the stillness outside. Lizwrenne knew something was about to happen. It was too quiet.
She stepped around to the door, and there was no one outside, she impulsively flipped the switch to turn on her porch light.
Strange....nothing happened.
So still...She bit her lip until the blood seeped out, which she could do without worry of pain, seeing as her lip was only just now recovering from being numbed. In fact, she was feeling very numb at the moment; her hands were cold, but sweaty, her head hurt, but dully, everything was dumbed down to accomodate her numbness. But her ears seemed numbest of all...
But only for a moment more, the door to her cozy house caved in with a sound like thunder and a gunshot rolled into one earsplitting blast of noise.
Two tall black figures with gigantic firearms stood in the very spot where her door had been. One of them spoke, loudly and monotoneously;
"Lizwrenne?"
"Yes." answered Lizwrenne from the left side of her mouth.
"You are under arrest for suspicion in the murder of Small. You have the right to remain silent, you also have the right to one phone call, you have the right to a guitar and/or two compact discs of your favorite artist, you also have the right to one phone call, but as many instant or personal messages as you may desire. Anything you say can and will be twisted against you by the prosecuting lawyer."
"Ubbwaagachoomocha?" was all that Lizwrenne could force out of her mouth, but she did not know that her entire future could hang on those words.
"Please clarify." answered one of the officers.
"What is this all about?? and why are my rights so, um, different than normal?"
"First question; you know very well. Second question; because this is CGR. Obviously we're much more humane than the general enforcement agency you may find in such a hotbed of crime as Michigan."
Lizwrenne nodded, numb again. They led her silently out to their car and pushed her roughly inside. They did not turn out the lights in her little cozy home. They didn't bother themselves to close up the doorway. They only threw their prisoner in, locked all the doors and drove away into the night.
All was once again silent, outside, and especially inside, the home of Lizwrenne.

| yeah. my name is lizwrenne *takes a sip of the faygo*...but the kids call me liz. the real name's lauren, but i've grown accustomed to responding to anything from "liz" to "master"...but dare call me liz another time and that'll be the end of you. *sticks formally swolen tongue out* i have a big blue backyard, but one cannot get there without first crossing the threashhold of it. i know that "threshhold" is actually spelled "threashold" but i like to live on the wild side...switch things up a bit, you know. |

It's for matters of consistency, although with the plot direction, you'll get called "lauren" pretty soon...But that's all in the future.
