Community! I am so sad that Community is on Thursdays. I already watch a shameful amount of TV on Thursdays, and I can't take any more.
| For shame. You should probably promise yourself you'll read more on Wednesday evenings. Quote:

So work this evening was fairly vanilla--a steady succession of the norm, if not regulars. I got a brief lesson in demonology from my co-worker Lora, who sure as blazes isn't as theologically educated as me, but has definite views concerning demons and ghosts, and now I'm home, and tired, and unimpressed with the thought of working tomorrow at nine.

| This evening, I've been placed in charge of my small group's meeting, or at least the "content" portion thereof, and am supposed to share about my experiences on Akwachink. The downside of this arrangement is that one is really not supposed to talk about Akwachink a lot--the experience is intended to remain something of a secret, such that it is a surprise for future participants. Thus, I'm not sure how much to obscure to what extent.

Look at the bright side, you get to practice being vague.
Surely you can share some of what you took from the experience without giving away the details. I'm sure you'll do fine. |

| I tried. I think I ended up forking over more of the details than I intended to, but not enough to ruin the experience for future generations, which felt like a nice compromise.

| If tall dark men in equally tall, dark suits whose faces were shrouded in shadow didn't suddenly descend upon the room and seize you (and judging by the fac that you posted again...I doubt this), I'm sure you didn't reveal too much. Besides, they'll probably forget most of what you did tell them anyway. Kids forget stuff easily like that |

| It's a good point. Thankfully, Akwachink is run by Living Hope Native Ministries and Rosedale, and neither one of them has the requisite funding to send black-clad goons all about the world.
Secondly, Akwachink details are shockingly vivid and memorable. Otherwise, it wouldn't be Akwachink.

| I could've sworn I posted in here. Hmm. No doubt I threw something together, and exited my browser e're pressing that all-important "Post" button.
I've been heinously busy, of late, running here and flitting there, and glancing anxiously at my clock in between, but my mid-term schedule has been nothing, if not conducive, and I've managed to survive, and then some.
Guy Fawkes' Night was, once again, a success. This year's event was attended more sparsely, but the whole mob was deeply committed to lustily bellowed renditions of the first four lines of the poem "REMEMBER, REMEMBER THE FIFTH OF NOVEMBER!.." and all was well.

| No pressure, but Drew already applied for ACMNP for next summer.
Could be a lot of fun...

On Sunday, on the drive home from church, Levi and I parquored five covered bridges, were pulled over by the police, drove most of the way between my house and school on the sides of drainage ditches and field-tracks during the course of which we crossed the area where a group of men were firing guns in our general direction (we were far enough away that we couldn't tell if they were shooting when we drove by), chased a coyote, climbed a grain bin, and ate a thanksgiving meal at his church.
And then there are other things I can't tell you about that we also did. It was an epic afternoon.

| As I told SupaDrew, if some wonderful opportunity presents itself you can always send your regrets to ACMNP - you certainly wouldn't be the first. You guys could drive out here together. That would be an adventure in itself!
