As for Corona... most people I know can't stand it.
I used to hate beer as well. The reason for it? Because I hadn't had a good one. The only "beers" I had were MGD, Bud Light, Bud Ice, Budweiser, Micholob Ultra, and someone's honey lager (not Honey Brown... that stuff's not too bad). So I came to the conclusion that all beers taste the same... and they all taste like crap.
How wrong I was.
I'd keep trying. If you can find a bar with a large selection, they will usually give you a free taster (about 1/4 of a shot's worth) of the beers. (at least The Ginger Man and Flying Saucer do)
Here's my suggestions. (Click the link to read other's reviews)
- Belhaven Scottish Ale
- Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale
- Shiner Bock
- Bass
- Samuel Adams Old Fezziwig Ale
- Samuel Adams Winter Lager (I'm not sure if this is the same as their Winter Brew... I've never had the Winter Lager... unless it's the same thing with a different name)
- Fischer Amber Ale
- Negra Modelo
- Smithwick's
- Harp
- Fireman's #4
- St. Arnold Brown Ale
- Boddington's Pub Ale (but only on tap)
That's all the really good ones that come to mind. If I think of any more I'll let you know.

| Cheers. I haven't seen any of those anywhere in Australia, but I will keep my eye out. |

| For Christmas, my brother gave me a 10-beer microbrew sampler pack from World Market. He knows me like only a brother can.

The roommates are planning some sort of a New Year's shindig, so I think I am going to make a big pot of mulled wine. Does anyone have any suggestions/recipes? |

I kid.

Never mind... he's 10. | Wow, I was playing my whistle when I read this and you made blow quite a nasty, loud, and high-pitched note... at 11 at night. The neighbors thank you.

I personally would squeal like a little girl in serious glee if I saw a spiked bowl of punch that was flaming. Yess.

| Rum?
Spike it with everclear. Everyone will thank you later .
In other current and exciting news, as of today I'm legal for tobacco. You better bet I'm going out to get a pipe and a cigar to try today. I've already had cloves and they weren't anything special, but I do find myself wanting to try them again. |
