Ha! Me and some friends once while in Hawaii brought 2 hookahs down to Waikiki beach and smoked all night. Everyone that passed by thought we smoking the reefer. It was hilarious.

I guess you had to be there. But I most certainly enjoy hookahs.

I think if you just say "Blacks" they'll know what you're talking about.

Oh, man. Clove cigarettes are the love of my life. Awesome. I'm a fan of the Bali Hais, personally, but most people I know find them a little too sweet/lacking in flavor. But the Blacks are quite, quite good. If I were going to smoke something regularly, it would probably be those.

Also, I have a friend who's a chick and has a pipe, which is an interesting thing to watch. She's the type of person you wouldn't expect to have a pipe, actually, so it's rather bizarre watching her smoke it, lol. She let me have a couple of puffs on it, and the tobacco she was using was incredible; unfortunately, I don't remember what it's called...

Thanks. Unfortunately that isn't my house. It is my Sisters house in NC. We were there for Thanksgiving. It is a log home designed and built by my brother-in-law. The chimney has a manufactured stone that looks and feels just like the real thing. My pipes have come to me, over the years, as gifts mostly.

I had heard that pipe smoke is a lot worse for you than cigar smoke. Is this true?

Well, you're not supposed to inhale either so if there is a difference then it's probably negligible. They do say a hookah is easier on your lungs since the tobacco is burned indirectly by coals and since the smoke passes through a liquid (water, wine, even coca-cola).
