Little Mara's all grown up.

Fat tire is a pretty solid "middle of the road" beer. I approve.

I like the majority of New Belgium beers.

Yeah, Fat Tire and 1554 are my favorite New Belgium brews, but they seem to be high quality overall. They do have some pretty odd beers, though. I had a sample of their La Folie, and it was really bizarre, but it did taste really good.

1554 is one of my favorite beers right now.

I don't care for Fat Tire, but I really like some of New Belgium's other stuff.

I'm the exact opposite. I enjoy Fat Tire but find their other beers to be too spiced. I can have one or two at a friend's house, but I'll never buy a sixer.

Just got back from the liquor store where I picked up a bottle of Rancho Alegre Reposado. The owner (who it turns out is a distant cousin) says it's as good as Patron and if I didn't like it I could bring it back and he'd exchange it.

Figure at $20~ for the big bottle, 100% Agave, and the approval of my newly found cousin I can't go wrong....

More after 5pm.

Anyone here fans of St. Arnold's?

Saint Arnold Brewing Company - Texas' Oldest Craft Brewery

I figured the CGR crowd would like the artwork, at least. It's great beer, but not as good as Great Lakes and some other microbreweries. I am fond of their Elissa IPA and Amber. I miss it so much, being in Taiwan and all...

I've tried St. Arnolds. I had their Christmas Ale when it was that time of year. It was quite enjoyable. I'll drink it again next year.

What do you think of it? I've only had the Hefe, and it seems very... cookie cutter, I guess.

I got a 6 pack of this. I think it's fantastic. I will be buying another 6 pack while it's in season.

Yeah. Widmer is solid, but not fantastic. I'd drink it.
