| I like cigars, but I really try to keep it once in a blue moon because I'm very much a singer. |

| Hey, sorry to do this, I know it's annoying, but I was wondering if someone can post the sites that talk about breaking in a pipe and what not. I remember them being very informative. Thanks. |

| If I were going to get a pipe, should I go with a full bend or not? Any opinions? |

It keeps the pipe out of your face and looks much more sofisticated than a straight stem or half bent. Also be warned that when you first try a pipe it will bite your tongue a bit. Go with a mild tobacco first and smoke it slowly and it shouldn't be a problem.

| Well today I picked up a tobacco called Pirate's Den. I enjoyed it, I suppose, but will probably keep looking once I finish this bag.
I am still having to re-light my pipe every so often, maybe around 5 times during my smoke. This makes me think I'm doing something wrong. What am I doing wrong? |

The general consensus is that it is a decent first pipe, would you agree? |

A package of pipe cleaners should do you quite a while if you only smoke it occasionally. As for a tamp, a golf tee works great. Use it to clean the tobacco from your pipe when you are done smoking it. Never bang your pipe against anything to clean it out. I would recommend you get long wooden matches to light it with. You get a much more even light with a wooden match than you do with a lighter. I can't really think of anything else you might need. If you have any more questions I will keep this thread in my subscriptions and try my best to help.

| One more thing I just thought of. Store your pipe with the stem up. Laying it down will allow the moisture to run into the stem and may cause it to begin to taste bad. BTW the moisture is not from spit it is from the hot air coming into contact with the cold air.

| Question, once you've developed a nice cake on the inside of the pipe, if it starts to get too thick, do you just scrape some off? |
