With five GRAMMY wins already to their name, INO Records' Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir received their ninth GRAMMY nomination in the Best Gospel Choir Or Chorus Album catgory for Live…This Is Your House. The awards were announced yesterday in Los Angeles. The Choir received their fifth GRAMMY in 2003 in the same category for their project Be Glad. This is the third GRAMMY nomination for INO Records with the choir.
Carol Cymbala, the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir's Director, commented on the nomination, "We're surprised that the GRAMMY association would once again give us this nomination. We are so thankful and we give all the glory to God."
The internationally renowned Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir was founded in 1973. Over the years, the nearly 300-voice group has won fve GRAMMY awards and two Dove Awards, and performed all over the globe, including recently taking choir members to Jamaica, presenting "Be Glad… the Jamaican Worship Experience," to over 15,000 people.
The GRAMMY Awards will be hosted in Los Angeles at Staples Center on Sunday, February 13, 2005, and broadcasted on the CBS Television
Network at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
