| guys that sing and play the piano..??? Do any of you guys do this?? For some reason I don't know a lot of people that do, and I get two reactions: people either think I'm amazingly cool or flaming gay. |

Sometimes if I know the words I'll join in, but my voice kinda trails off ....and I end up stopping mid-.
I guess they'd think you're cool if they compare you to someone like Keith Green. But if they immediately think of Elton John, then I guess they'd assimulate you with being gay! |

| It seems like guitar is totally taking over, as far as worship stuff goes at least... but yeah I love to sing and play the piano... |

The "Passion" type guitar worship leaders are getting old. Listen to people like Israel Hougton and Joe Pace and Clint Brown. They are at the true forefront of praise and worship music. |

| I guess it depends on what church you go to, or where you live in the world/country/US... but Chris Tomlin, Mat Redman, David Crowder, Jeremy Camp and all those guys are immensely popular where I live. |

| well, i'm not a 'guy' but i do play and sing...no one thinks anything about it whether gay or super-cool, their big thing to get used to was a keys player who headbangs...

| I sing when I'm playing piano in Childrens Church. We usually just do one fun song to pull the group together, and one of our 6th graders leads it so I sing to back her up.
Think of Keith Green... they tried recording his voice and piano separately but it didn't sound right because he didn't have the same vocal energy when he wasn't playing piano.

#14 | | Master of Disaster | Well, i'm not a guy but I like singing and playing piano. I don't think there's anything wrong with guys playing piano and singing. In fact, I really like it. Personally (not to offend any guitar players out there since I play guitar too ^__^) but I think its harder to play piano than to play guitar. Thats just out of my personal experience. |

| I am a guy and I do play the piano and I try and sing, but I can't carry a tune for anything, so it's not really recognizable and I just end up throwing off the other singers. But when I'm alone, I love to sing and play. |
